Hehe.... thanks, I took my mage (even though too low) to the trainer in Darn, and she at least would "talk" to her & I could see it, so, yay, no faction work needed! Just leveling.…. lots of leveling..... 20 for SW & IF teleports but 30 I believe for Darn 40/50 for portals if I'm remembering correctly, but, I have slept a few hours since I last looked lol.

It doesn't say anything about reputation, but it does say you need to visit a city before you can learn the portal spell. I'm sure you don't have to be exalted--my vanilla mage had all the portals and nobody liked her! :)

2019-08-29 15:45:41 +0000 UTCI think you just need to be friendly and of the appropriate level to learn the spell. It's been so long, I'm not 100% sure about that. What I DO remember is that teleporting and portals both require a reagent... a rune of some sort... but it seemed like by the time my mage got to 60, it could port/teleport to any of the faction cities (along with Theramore). Mad would know!

I know I want to make sure to work faction for the different locations as I level to make it easier, I just don't know if I need to be friendly, exaulted, or somewhere in between.... Thanks!
