Hello 2023

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a good start into 2023. 🖤 Thanks for your continuing support, here's to another year. 😜

To be honest, Christmas and New Year's never meant less to me than this year. The older I get, the more I repell this social custom of having to celebrate these days just for the date's sake. Pretenting to like your family on Christmas is hypocritical if you don't care about them for the rest of the year. That's why I don't join the big family celebrations anymore (don't get me wrong, I love my parents but I can gladly do without my cousins, aunts and uncles etc because I was never close to them). I'm not religious or something at all anyway.
Starting over on New Year's just because the earth circled the sun one more time won't be the key to reaching all your goals. You can try to change or start something new every day, even better so without having to compare yourself to other person's new year's resolutions. I'm not a pessimist, just a realist haha. 😇

I know a lot of people who didn't have a good year for some reason or another, but I cannot complain. There were no big dramas, no blows of fate, no huge changes for me. It was just a lot. 😆 After two years of limited social interaction, limited events and travelling, 2022 apparently wanted to catch up on everything. So I really enjoyed 2 very quite December weeks. I didn't film anything in these two weeks as well, it was a real break from all kinds of work.
Now I'll get started again but aiming for a few changes. New video ideas for the channel (youtube argues that you have to change your content every 2-3 years completely in order to stay relevant and keep your views but to be honest, if I'd change my content completely, what would I even do? 😂). New photo shoots with photographers I wanted to work with for a long time - in 2022 I shot with only 4 photographers, that's not much. Already booked a trip to Malta as well, will go to the Dark Malta Festival again. So let's see what else 2023 keeps in store. 😉 Wishing you all only the best!
