2021-11-25 23:51:19 +0000 UTCThe most exciting part of this chapter set is definitely the hints we got about overcoming entropy = image permanence. My guess is that a Randidly will need to be able to handle complete hierarchy of burden to truely ascend to the pinnacle

To someone who can't sense those image seeds it would seem like anti-aether, or a void that constantly sips on everything around it, and Takeyhands her new companion now has a symbolic meaning to its name since Randy also takes from everything around her heh.

2021-11-23 09:54:19 +0000 UTCAnti-aether? It struck me as more like the kid being a natural-born "heretic," draining the aether for their own use and growth. Randidly's introspection said that there were hints of a combination between the Grey Creature and Stillborn Phoenix embedded in some form of skill the kid had. The Grey Creature was the one who had an ability that allowed it to suck away a portion of anything's Aether or Nether in order to empower it's own image strength. The Stillborn Phoenix was the one that can suck in emotion, which also has some significance in image crafting. Randy's power was described as draining "something vital" from everything around.

He can help her solve these issues by making herself useful in cooking for the group and then... well, maybe raising her control and focus will help her realize her anti-aether can happen consciously? And perhaps drain other images. I like things like this, because it shows growth from Randidly's constant monstrous power being always necessary, but taps into that normal side of Randidly, the relatable, the ordinary portions that are the sum of the legend. Because he was also trained. And unlike his first soul space world which was annihilated after he neglected it, this one he won't mess up. I know not everyone likes it but you write what you wanna write Puddles, I enjoyed the distraction.
