I'm like, "Oh, another unfortunate possession by the wandering ghost of Roger Kingsley..." Maybe if you change the laugh from "heh heh" to "hohoho" or "Hah!" or "Teeheehee" depending on character, the rest would follow from that?

If this were a real book I'd say focus on the main plot but it's not. If you want to continue the Rand main story it might be worth it to write offshoot stories like the AZ Healer Patreon. Other projects can be valuable to your creative voice.
