Fur Quests Devlog 2022-07-14

Greetings dungeoneers!

Since we are taking a bit longer with each update now, we can finally focus on some quality-of-life features in the demo that we did not have time for at first. To help with that, we sat down with a few people as they played the game and watched how they experienced the game.

The first thing they noted was, why isn't there a load saved game button? Well, that wasn't a feature in the visustella menu plugin when we started the project. But they have since added it, which is now in the game.

Another thing is that they got exhausted going through the berry forest and being bombarded with random encounters. Ambushes can be a fun element of surprise, but this was exhausting. So that has been turned way down.

The third thing was that they did not notice the pop-up text during certain quests, most specifically the Erza quest. They killed the Erza, and because the guard had asked for one heart, they ignored Septim, saying he wanted to go for four.

 It was so embarrassing to watch them return to the militia camp and not understand why the guard would not accept the heart he asked for. So that is another branching option that we are working on.

Another player got into the unfortunate situation where they died, and the auto-save would only bring them back to the game over scene, which ruined their playthrough. We think we've solved this issue now, but there are quite a few other bugs we would like to fix.

In other news, we are changing around our tier rewards a little. The poor Apprentice tier has been neglected for some time. Because with all of the work on the demo, we haven't had much time to work on new videos, and most of you seem to want more NSFW stuff. So NSFW stuff is what we focus on at the moment!

So from now on, 5 dollar backers will receive access to mid-resolution NSFW pieces one month ahead of the public. These pieces will still be of a higher resolution than what you'll find in the game and our public uploads.

Mainly because they need to be compressed to be hosted on certain sites and fit in the game.

But that is all for this week's update! We just hit over 50 dollars in support this week. That doesn't seem like a lot. Every single dime donated goes straight into the project, and we have a lot of things planned for the future, and that just wouldn't be possible without your generous support.
