I must have been in 4th or 5th grade when I went over to my friend’s place and my sheltered ass saw extreme violence in video games for the first time. It was a PS2 one so it was old even at the time lmao. It was one of the most intense and self conflicting experiences I ever had as a child 😂

I remember that one of the first sgb videos I watched were the mortal Kombat videos after some of the Scmj videos back in 2016 I wanna say. We had a quick mortal Kombat x tournament in our gaming club and I lost the first round but the designs, characters, and the lore of the game made me interested in learning more and it started with these videos so thank you Mr.SomecallmeJohnny sir, you are one of my favorite YouTubers and I hope that you continue to be happy with doing what you do. 2023-09-16 18:08:58 +0000 UTCTo this day is still consider the first Mortal Kombat to be a suprisingly good choice if you want to play a fighting game with someone who's not very familiar with the genre and they're not in the mood for Smash Bros. The controls are straightforward while still having a sizable moveset and pulling off the special moves is refreshingly easy. Looking forward to the MK1 playthrough. I watched Maximillian Dood stream it a few days ago. Without spoiling anything, it's a story with high highs and low lows, and I'm curious to see your guys reactions.
