Vae Victis - Khan: Now what?

I’ve been a little quiet lately, for reasons I explained in an earlier post. But now that version 0.14 is out, I’ve realized how much I missed talking to you.
Let me start by asking: how did you enjoy the finale? Were you surprised? Was it the good kind of surprise? I’d love to hear your thoughts on version 0.14, and I promise to reply to all comments. If you’re not comfortable posting publicly, feel free to send me a direct message here or on Discord.
Now that version 0.14 is out and the story has concluded (for now!), let’s talk about what’s next. The upcoming version (0.15, also known as 1.0) will be the final version of the game. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be polishing various aspects of the experience:
Graphics and animations – We’ll be improving the visuals, particularly for Marbia, Tinpingia, Hawatia, Limtinia, and their rulers. If there’s a specific scene or character you feel didn’t quite land, let me know: I’d love to revisit it. My rendering skills have come a long way since 2021, and you deserve the best visuals I can offer.
Story polish – After working closely on Jada and Alyn over the past year, I feel I “know” them better now. I want earlier scenes to reflect that. Nothing too dramatic, no major retcons, but I do plan to revisit their early moments to deepen their characters a bit.
World map gameplay – If you’re playing in VN mode, feel free to skip this. But we’re planning new features and balance adjustments for managing the Khaganate to make the strategy side more fun.
Translations – Portuguese and Chinese translations are ready to be implemented. After that, we’ll consider which languages to add next.

After version 0.15, I’ll begin working on Vae Victis – Khan 2 (the name might change). With the Eastern Sister under his control, Karder now faces the far greater challenge of the Western Sister. What has Jada been up to since being left behind? Will Lahav prove as pliable as Karder needs her to be? So many questions left to answer.
I hope to release Vae Victis – Khan 2 (working title) 0.1 in late December or early January.
