Vae Victis - Khan 2?
Added 2024-05-09 13:37:32 +0000 UTCVae Victis - Khan will come to an end. I am not sure exactly when, but I believe I’ll finish the game in about 2-3 updates. I won’t reveal the end but I guarantee it will be satisfying, no cliffhangers or other nasty tricks. Which brings me to the question: what’s next?
I want to stay in the Twin Sisters continents for the next game. I have put a lot of effort into world building and I think it will be fun for me (and you) to explore it some more. What I’m not currently sure about, is what exactly will the next project look like. I have three rough ideas which I will present below. While this is not a poll, I would still love to hear your opinions on these ideas.
Vae Victis - Khan 2. This is the most straightforward option. In VVK1 Karder have beaten Queen Remy’s armies and have taken the throne but not the continent, but the rest of the Western Sister nations, whose armies are stronger, are still defiant, perhaps openly led by some Wakabian leader. This will have a structure similar to the current game, only you will have Queen Remy and Karder’s sisters at your custody.
Older Karder. This will also have similar mechanisms as VVK1, but will be set in Karder’s future where, as an older Khan, he faces new challenges. Perhaps forces within the khaganate threaten to tear his life’s project apart or a new enemy emerges. The mood will be a bit darker and melancholy, as Karder reflects upon his life and perhaps strives to achieve one more great deed while he still can. While I have no intention to make Karder a fragile old man (he will always kick ass), he will also feel his age from time to time and his character will have a little more somber quality. Lewdness wise, it will have a strong, powerful “zaddy Vs. young ladies” vibe and probably less milfs.
The AVN. The third option I’m thinking of is the most different from the others. From a storytelling perspective, one of the main disadvantages of VVK1 is that the abundance of ladies makes it hard for me to tell a long story, with twists, slow burn and emotional engagement. Although I do think Karder’s lifestyle somewhat resembles Genghis Khan’s, it is still not a good platform for telling longer and more engaging stories.
Hence I’m thinking about an AVN set in the Twin Sisters continent, where the MC is not Karder. I’m considering having a young veteran of “Karder’s Reunification Wars”. who returns to his village where his mother is now the village matriarch. Due to the war most of the men are gone and the village is populated mostly with women, including his matriarch mother, sisters and other potential love interests. Perhaps his father has also gone to fight and his whereabouts are unknown, adding a layer of tension to the atmosphere. This option benefits from the Twin Sisters lore but will have a more classic AVN build.
Fetish wise, all options described above will have the same themes you know and love. I love the option of choosing nobler and/or darker paths and these will still be present in any future game I’ll write.
As I wrote earlier: this is not a poll, but rather an invitation to discussion. I also want to make it clear that nothing in this post is a commitment, consider it rough ideas. Again: an invitation for discussion.

2024-05-21 09:00:00 +0000 UTCI think VVK2 will be good idea since if you follow any of the remaining options, it will feel like you have abandoned Khan and it will not bring a sense of fulfillment since the ideal ending will be the complete conquest of all nations on Twin Sisters and since you have added the plot of bring the Mother down and then making her pregnant so leaving VVK2 would defeat that purpose of introducing that and other mysteries of the Gods and Lords unless you plan to wind up all these abovementioned loose ends in VVK1 only. The other 2 are both interesting ideas but pursuing them and make a interesting storyline as well especially the idea of less girls and more storytime for each of them

2024-05-11 23:53:08 +0000 UTCVVK2 and the Old Karder ideas would make for a great trilogy featuring a prominent character in the setting, something along the lines of a Vae Victis - The Legend of Karder. I am in favor of exploring both of those ideas for a complete telling of the life and times of this notable character from the setting. However, having more traditional AVNs in the setting as mentioned in idea three would make for a great palate cleanser in between working on Karder focused titles. This would afford the opportunity to work on longer stories and flesh out the setting further as well as allow other ideas for Karder's story to percolate. The story you proposed for this first one, featuring a veteran from the Reunification War would allow you to show more of the effects from Karder's actions and flesh out the setting in the times of Karder beyond what could be observed from Karder's perspective. There are other periods that could be explored for these AVNs as well such as during the rise or reign of Timug "Iron Hoof" during the founding of the Khaganate. The Wars in Heaven could be interesting to explore as well. You could make a work for each as independent titles or even make a longer lived protagonist such as an elf to cover both Wars in Heaven in the same work or as a duology. The Age of Pain could be another period to explore as I am intrigued as to the specifics that warranted such a name for that era. Ultimately, you could do something like VVK1, other AVN in the setting, VVK2, different AVN in the setting, Old Karder/VVK3. That way you could continue to work on this world you have so painstakingly built and hopefully avoid burning out from spending too much time telling Karder's story. That said, as long as you're doing what you love and are enjoying yourself, any of the options you presented are fine with me. Thanks for taking the time to read this and have a wonderful day.

2024-05-10 08:58:48 +0000 UTCJust got this idea, basically linked to the spinoff idea, Karder would be the narrator, we would learn that Hanoor is not a meaningless name made up, but the name of a tough as nails and cool Khanguard that Karder met and looked up as a kid, a kind of mentor, this would be his story set in the western twin, allowing also meta eastereggs (think Titus Pulo in the series Rome)

2024-05-10 00:07:06 +0000 UTCI like the old King Conan vibe idea. Maybe on a quest for a worthy successor, having had hundreds of children. That or either a "prequel" exploring the war in heaven time, allowing more over the top fantastic characters

2024-05-09 18:22:14 +0000 UTCA normal AVN set in the kahn world sounds interesting too me. Taking care of the women in mc's family, and in the village 🥰🥳 my 2nd choice would be VV2

2024-05-09 17:06:24 +0000 UTCFor Option 1, I am in the same side as Iskatel. Why do a new game instead of prolonging this one? It might Profit from a Strong twist. Like Karder murdered and his heir continues his work. My favorite ist Option 2. This ist a new Story, another Style, and we profit from the knowledge we have. Option 3 could be interesting, ist 2nd place for me.

2024-05-09 16:06:01 +0000 UTCFirst option looks like DLC content for the main game. It maybe good, but from my point of view it's not clear why finish this game and make another, when you can prolong this one. Second option maybe interesting, but do not make Karder too old. His ladies will need attention)) Third option is interesting too and the possibility for some experimenting.

2024-05-09 15:31:46 +0000 UTCI reckon Kahn 2, the first option, it seems the most plausible and if you want incorporate some AVN in, where there are less girls and more story telling. Plus you could do it over the span of a couple of years so that the Kahns kids have started to grow up a little. Tis just a thought tho I will say really good job love the work
