2026-01-25 03:47:06 +0000 UTCSo per usual, I watch your videos then immediately need to modify my campaign setting because you make something awesome. Harkening back to the cage crawler, I used it as a potential magical hook. Today is going to be the finale of the first act of my campaign and I made two spells based off of the creature (the names are based on either an NPC or players in the campaign): Spellslinger's Temporal Salvation [R]: 3rd level, V,S,M: 100GP of The sands of an hourglass blessed by Chronos, which are used in the casting of the spell. Casting time 1 hr. You speak an incantation and sprinkle the sand over the time-locked target while weaving a shape of an hourglass with your hands. For you, time stands still, but around, you time passes normally. After the incantation is complete, the target (and yourself) are released from the temporal hold. While performing this ritual, anything that comes into contact with the ritual circle will also be locked in time until the spell is complete. Performing this ritual without a valid target causes the ritual to fail. Any other being that interacts with the ritual circle must make a dexterity saving throw based on your spellcasting modifier to avoid being temporally locked for 1 hour. Wright's Temporal punishment: 6th level, V,S,M 1 amber's worth of grey amber dust and 1000gp of the sands of an hourglass blessed by Chronos, both of which are consumed by the spell,. Casting time: 1 hour. You sprinkle the sand mixed with the grey amber dust over the target and weave the shape of an hourglass on its side with your hands. The target is trapped in a temporal prison and must make a saving throw based on your spellcasting stat. Failing the throw forces the creature to relive the hour previous to the start of the ritual over and over until released. Doing so may result in them losing their mind. DC20 Intelligence saving throw once released for any duration longer than one 10day trapped. The only magic that can break this spell is chronomancy.
