Sauce Performance FAQ
Added 2022-03-01 22:54:13 +0000 UTCHello!
This is just a real quick FAQ for new Sauce Performance users.
- Q: Can I use more than 1 browser?
- A: YES Just be sure to "link" the other browser to Patreon first by going to the 'Sauce Options' window and clicking "Link with patreon". You're free to use as many devices as you want with one word of caution...
- Q: Can I do a full (the slow network sync) on more than 1 browser at the same time?
- A: NO The system will not prevent you from trying this but it is HIGHLY recommended that you do NOT run a full sync on more than one device concurrently because Strava's throttling limits are tied to your Strava Profile and not the device being used. Instead you should use backup/restore to save time and avoid having your account being temporarily unavailable.
- Q: Can I copy the data from one browser to another?
- A: YES Use the Backup and Restore buttons in the Sync Panel. Watch this video for more details https://youtu.be/k5JAMvsu39A
- Q: My first sync process stopped at around 650 activities. Did it stop working?
- A: NO The daily limit imposed by Strava is 1000 activities per day. To stay safe, Sauce will only use 70% of this quota. Normal Strava usage affects this limit as well. This is why the number will not be exactly 700. Once it is safe to continue syncing activities Sauce will carry on automatically. You do NOT need to do anything special other than being patient - oh and make a backup when it's done!
- Q: Can I export the data to another program like WKO?
- A: VERY SOON The next patch release v8.0.4 will have "Export FIT Files" in the Sync Panel. This will download a ZIP bundle of all the activities in FIT format. Keep in mind these are not the original FIT files, they are generated from the raw data streams using Sauce's own FIT encoder.
Comments
Hi Christian, you should see a little Refresh icon in the sync panel on the top right corner of the Heart rate zones that lets you force a refresh of HR zones, otherwise it will just occasionally look for updates.

2023-07-05 20:35:19 +0000 UTCHi, is there a way to change the HR zone in the fitness tracking dashboard? I've chosen custom HR zone in my strava settings, but it didn't seem to sync with the fitness tracking db? Thanks in advance & keep the nice work up!

2023-04-20 21:20:02 +0000 UTCHi Rob, Yes, in the Watching window you can right click and there is a lap and reset button. You can also setup auto-reset or auto-lap in the main settings page.

2023-01-13 23:48:59 +0000 UTCIs there a way to reset the data during a ride without just restarting the app? I think it would be good to be able to zero the data as a race starts or you hit the bottom of the alp, so that distances, times, n minute watts/wkg are more relevant.
