260 One Piece: My Name is Jack

"Damn it! Cough cough!"

Doflamingo trembled with rage as the others helped him up. When he learned that Garp had been rescued, his entire body shook with fury.

"This situation..."

"It's really troublesome now!"

"Young Master! The Navy has sent reinforcements!"

"They've already landed on Dressrosa! Besides Admiral Fujitora, the former Fleet Admiral Sengoku, Chief of Staff Tsuru, and Admiral candidates Chaton and Momousagi have also arrived!"

"Cough cough! Damn it! They got here so fast?!"

...

Dressrosa lay in ruins. Rubble and destruction stretched across the city, the air filled with the sounds of wailing and despair. Many civilians had joined forces with pirates to fight against the Donquixote Family.

As Sengoku and his group stepped onto land and advanced into the city, scenes of devastation unfolded before them. The deeper they went, the more bodies they saw, making their expressions grow heavier.

"Damn you, King Riku!"

"It's all because of you! You people!"

"Why couldn't you just die?! If not for you—"

"My child wouldn't have died!"

An enraged elderly woman clung to King Riku, screaming hysterically. Many others didn't speak, but their hateful glares said enough.

"I'm sorry... This is all my fault..."

...

The arrival of the Navy sent the Donquixote Family into a panic, with many turning to flee. Seeing this, Momousagi led a squad of Marines in pursuit.

"The Navy is here! We're saved!"

For many civilians, the Navy still held great authority. Seeing Sengoku and his forces, they cheered with hope.

However, not everyone welcomed them. Those who had lost loved ones in the chaos lashed out in anger.

"Damn the Navy! What justice do you uphold?!"

"Only showing up when everyone's dead?!"

"Justice delayed isn't justice at all!"

Faced with the barrage of insults, Sengoku did not get angry. He was about to say something when his eyes suddenly narrowed, locking onto a figure in the distance.

"Doflamingo!"

At the city's edge, Doflamingo stood with his officers and soldiers, encircling Momousagi and her squad. Seeing Sengoku, he let out a chilling laugh.

"Fufufufufu!"

"Sengoku! You and your people have barged into my country—what exactly do you plan to do?!"

"Doflamingo!"

Sengoku strode forward, fury in his eyes.

"Your schemes have been exposed! This is not your country!"

"I'm here to arrest you!"

"Fufufu! Don't forget, I'm still one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea!"

Doflamingo's expression darkened as he sneered.

"Are you planning to betray the World Government?"

"Enough of that!"

With a wave of Sengoku's hand, Marines surrounded the Donquixote Family.

"Your crimes have already violated the agreement with the World Government. You're no longer a Warlord!"

"Tch!"

Realizing that this excuse wouldn't work, Doflamingo lowered his head, deep in thought. Suddenly, he shouted:

"Jack! What the hell are you waiting for?!"

"With your strength, taking care of them shouldn't be a problem, right?"

Boom!

The moment he finished speaking, Jack and Yamato descended from the clouds above.

"Drought Jack!"

"Not you again, you bastard!"

The Marines tensed at the sight of Jack, who merely glanced at Doflamingo and spoke indifferently.

"Doffy, I believe our deal is complete."

"I defeated Garp for you. I retrieved Caesar."

"So, I have no obligation to keep fighting, do I?"

"What?!"

Doflamingo's expression twisted in disbelief.

"What do you mean by that?!"

Jack smirked. "You're smart—you should already know."

Doflamingo's eyes flicked to Yamato, then to the ruined palace. His face darkened as realization struck him.

"You two planned this!"

"Oi, don't go spouting nonsense, Doffy!" Yamato grinned.

Sengoku, noticing the exchange, stepped in.

"Drought Jack! What is your goal here?! Are you protecting Doflamingo?!"

Jack shrugged. "Depends on his answer."

...

"Aren't we going in?"

"Admiral Fujitora... He may be alone, but we are no match for him."

Before coming to Dressrosa, Kaido had personally spoken to Jack. Kaido knew of Doflamingo's former Celestial Dragon status and the secrets he held about them.

Despite beating Doflamingo countless times in the past, Kaido had never managed to extract the information. Over time, their business dealings deepened, and Kaido stopped forcing the issue.

But his curiosity remained. So when Doflamingo called Jack for help, Kaido told him about the secret.

That was why everything—from Sugar's defeat at Yamato's hands to Garp's battered body being thrown in front of Doflamingo—had all been part of the plan.

Would Garp kill Doflamingo? If it were Akainu, Doffy might have been doomed. But Garp...

...

"Doffy, let's break through and escape!"

"If we join the Beasts Pirates, you'll never become Pirate King!"

At the mention of Pirate King, Doflamingo's eyes snapped open.

"No need to persuade me!"

"Compared to these monsters, my strength is far too lacking."

"I've already lost Vergo and Monet—I can't lose you all too!"

"Even if Sengoku and his men leave now, I won't be a Warlord anymore."

"The World Government won't protect me—they'll send assassins to eliminate me!"

"I have two choices: surrender to the Navy or join the Beasts Pirates."

"For us, joining Kaido is the best option!"

"If I can't be the Pirate King... Then being his ally isn't a bad choice either!"

"So! Jack!"

Doflamingo suddenly shouted:

"My decision is made! From today onward, the Donquixote Family is no more! We're joining the Beasts Pirates!"

Jack smirked. "A wise choice!"

He embraced Doflamingo, then turned to Sengoku, his face cold.

"I now declare: Dressrosa is under the control of the Beasts Pirates!"

"If you Marines don't leave, we'll consider it an act of war!"

"And I will kill you all!"

"Damn it! Don't look down on us!"

"That bastard!"

As the Marines bristled with anger, a voice suddenly rang out from behind Sengoku.

"Retreat! We're leaving!"

"Garp!"

"Vice Admiral Garp?!"

Covered in blood, Garp stood tall. Sengoku clenched his fists in frustration, then finally shouted:

"All units—retreat!"
