Ruby was extremely pleased that she had got a new job as a make-up artist so soon after being unexpectedly discharged from the hospital. She had been worried about being out of work for a while, as her left arm was still in a cast from her shoulder to the first joints of her fingers. The thick foam neck brace and the short walking cast on her right leg were certainly less of a problem. But who would want a make-up artist with practically one arm? She had applied to various job offers - and then she had actually been accepted. And what a job was that!
It was in the most exclusive ski resort in the country, to work on a thrilling project: The video shoot of Annie Antler's latest music video "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas". Unfortunately, she was also worried. Some weeks ago the head of the hospital, where she had spent several months almost completely plastered, had told her that most of her old injuries had healed sooner than expected. Although that was to Ruby's delight, if she was completely honest, her arm and leg, which were now considered healthy, still ached latently. She hoped it was just due to the unfamiliar exertion and would soon go away. What she least wanted was to be informed of an unfortunate mistake at another visit to a doctor and to be put back into more plaster casts.
(Ruby's this look will be featured in Mabauterklamm's brand new story "The White Christmas", which is coming soon)
