I was talking to a friend and, as much as I love the senseless, passionate fucking between Uncle and Julien, I love them coming together to form a family over angst and abandonment.
I've been working on the Kowalski leaving Julien for Doris AU for years lol
It didn't really become an outlet for me until I experienced the same thing, lucky for me I never had children, but all the same investing your life into someone and being discarded so easily is - it's a real terrible thing.
And with the introduction of Julien's family and history with his kingdom it added more to the simple story I started with.
It's both painful and healing to vent like this, which I know full well I clung to Uncle when I left, and I know a lot of people miss Kowalski/Julien but, right now this is def my jam.
Gunna try for smut next lol

Thank you so much! ;w; Exactly! It's aah, I'm having so much trouble with words right now, just- your comment means so much to me and I keep re-reading it getting emotional and I feel kind of silly. I'm so accustomed to people simply hating this ship and my attachment to it. <3 They just have this dynamic that I needed to explore and with how the show ended on good terms with them I also get to figure out how they come together again. I mean, there are so many moments in the show were Julien holds onto the fond memories of Uncle and Uncle even going so far to pay people off to be friends with Julien- like, he literally didn't have to. X3 Aww, I always feel I have to justify them since they are related but all the same they aren't real XD Again thank you so much, it means so much to me! ๐
2020-10-20 07:23:17 +0000 UTCI think this is a wonderful story to expand upon. Not all characters get happy endings, but that also doesn't mean they can't pick up and rebuild. Seeing an otherwise charismatic and joyful character like Julien trying to put his family back together with another, particularly someone who was once antagonistic towards him, is compelling. As always, I love how you put so much emotion and passion into this characters for a scene like this. Your handle on facial expressions and body language for poses is fantastic. :D I'm very glad this couple is therapeutic for you and I think you should draw more of it. It's good to know that the characters and yourself are expanding to new and better horizons. :D
