I spent some time on this last night for my new pillowfort account.
You know, I hide behind a lot of my favorite characters a lot, like Julien, Starscream, Snufkin, and even Varian. It's because I have no sense of self love and very little self esteem, meanwhile I think all these characters are beautiful and strong.
Well I decided to fight all my learned self hatred and draw myself as cute as I wanted, without fear! Even drew my nose as accurately as I could, I have a big nose lol but it's my dad's nose too and I remember him telling me to never hate myself because I'm part of him and my mom and they love me.

This is amazing! :D Honestly, you have more courage than I do: Sure, I have my fursona as an avatar for myself, but I never have any pictures nor an artistic depiction of myself anywhere(Well, except for my Ebay account for business purposes). Frankly, only a handful of artists in the community rarely ever draw their real selves to the public and stick to their fursonas or other characters: It's just a natural shyness of your real self out in the open for other's to see. I think it's really awesome that you have come forth with another drawing of yourself. Not only is the picture really adorable and let's you show your real self, but it's another testament to how you can push forward past your inner issues and come out on top. :) Also, do not worry, you're not rambling. It's always good to get some insight to why you make the things you do. Noth at all wrong with being up front about your work. ^^
