Moomin - One's a little creepy --

I didn't grow up with the 90's version, I only became familiar with it during the Moomin boom of last year, which led to me watching it eventually.
2019 Moominvalley Snufkin is the first Snufkin I was introduced to, again because of the Moomin boom, it's like when someone asks who your favorite Doctor is, and with me it was who I watched first. It's Ten for me btw lol
I adore 2019 Snufkin, he's very relatable and has the sweetest voice, he's much more emotional and feels more human.
But when I watch 90's Snufkin he's very aloof and comes off as too stoic, he has his moments of attachment and kindness but- I guess he's more dominating than his recent iteration.
I also have some uneasiness associated with 90's Snufkin because of some very violent fanfics I stumbled upon when I first joined the fandom, of course that's not really his fault but I'm weary of both him and the Joxter now lol
Well it's only how I feel, I enjoy them both! But I honestly do favor 2019 Snufkin <3
Sorry for all the Moomin stuff lately, it's sort of venty and 100% for my own enjoyment. XD

Sorry for the late reply on this, but great pic of both the old and new versions of Snufkin, Tsu! =D Yeah, It's funny looking back on these things, especially when shows usually have an edgier side before it shifts into a more lighter tone a few years later. It's kinda like showing the different iterations and takes of Batman or Sonic.

2020-05-15 09:05:55 +0000 UTCHehe, the very definition of 'night' and 'day'. :p Its very understandable that people cater to shows/characters that they were introduced to first, rather than what constitutes as "the original". In fact, I think a lot of us are guilty of that is some way, shape, or form. Nothing at all wrong with it. :3 Also, don't feel that you have to apologize for drawing what you love. As I said before, you are entitled to to draw what makes you happy rather that what everyone else may want or like. Your art is still very wonderful and emotional regardless of what you draw, and I'm glad to see you update whenever you do. :D Keep up the amazing work and stay safe. ^^
