Saturday - Steam News!

Just yesterday, I received news from Steam, which I like to share with everyone. The news are... mixed, there's a very good part, and another part which I would call "concerning".

The good news is that the game content complies with all Steam policies, there was just a mistake on my part, I put that the game is translated to Latin American Spanish and Spanish from Spain and they tell me that I can only select 1 of the 2, since the game only has one language option in Spanish. Aside from that, the game is perfectly accepted by Steam. 🙂🙂

What is overshadowing this news? That they won't let me upload it as a new game... they tell me that this must be with V 0.03 version as an update or DLC, which, from my humble opinion, is not correct nor the best way to do it.

I wrote them again today and well... I will have to wait again for an answer from them, I am not giving up and I hope I can make the release in January. And one thing is almost sure... Season 2 on Steam is probably only going to be released once it's finished, I really don't want to go through this ordeal or wait 10 days for a response as has happened to me this time... again. (I hope it's an isolated case).

I know on my side there may be some mistakes, and I lack to understand some things about how Steam works for developers and I need to keep learning more about the platform, but I am a developer developing the game from a room, while they are a huge transnational company, I would like to be able to have answers in less than 48 hours to be able to move faster and don't make the players wait, but well... It's their rules, their way of working, they will know what they do and that's why they are the number 1 gaming platform worldwide 🙂 I can only express here my idea, and in the end, I will have to adapt to what they say, it's their platform, and it's their rules. 😛

Back to talking about yesterday's launch, I haven't received any bug reports so far, so I guess everything is working great. It has been quite a challenge to remaster the game, especially adding 30 languages, so I am very happy if everything is working well. 😁

I will keep you informed about the progress I make with Steam, and also as soon as I start with IoM season 2.
