Questions about V 0.06 Leaks

Hello, people! Many supporters are letting me know the game has been leaked on various sites. (It happened in a matter of hours) It's a shame that after a huge effort in developing this version, this happens...

But at the same time, I'm not surprised, the game is getting extremely popular, and it was going to happen sooner or later.

I'm only one person working on the game, and I can decide to spend my time working on ways how to prevent it, but let's be honest, if companies like Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Adobe, Rockstar, etc. can't stop piracy, I will be able to do it? The answer is simple, no.

So instead of letting this affect me negatively or distract me from finding ways to avoid piracy, I will keep focused on the game. I will keep enjoying developing it, working hard on it, and building a fantastic and unique community. 🙂

I found out who the leaker was, and I banned her (yes, a leaker girl!) (If you are reading this... and the information I have is correct... I think you live in France, am I right? does my Crystal Ball work or not? Because if it is working... I've more data about you 🙂 and I can keep gathering more data... Should I take legal action or not? 😉) 

* I don't think I will do anything, I want to keep focusing on the game, but I will keep your information very well guarded, and hey! What you are doing is not pleasant. You are just like Vicky... a complete bitch. 😝 Be like your other fellow IoM female players. Good girls! 🙂 with a little devil inside 😈 but in the end... good girls! 🙂

Maybe she was mad about what would happen to Jennifer in the future, so she is trying to de-motivate me to stop developing IoM. Maybe she only wants to protect Jennifer! 😛 (As you can see, even in this situation, I try to remain happy and positive 🙂)

I'm sorry that this happened, people. Still, I have 0 control over piracy, and it is something that I can't contain (especially because, at this moment, IoM is in the Top 100 adult projects on Patreon, which is HUUUUGE).

This will happen again in the future for sure. But I will keep working hard on the game, and I won't let this situation affect me or sadden me because I know that there are people out there who are on the opposite side of the leaker, who appreciate if someone works hard and with passion in a project. 😉 (Over 1000 people are supporting, I can't be sad! 😉) 

My advice about downloading IoM from Pirate Links:

There are 2 reasons why games are pirated.

1) For the simple reason of sharing someone's work for free, which makes the leaker feel good for some reason. (Seeking the feeling of being popular and loved in a forum)

2) To inject malicious code into the game (virus/trojans) and try to steal your bank info, personal info, and so on. (This happens especially when a game is really popular and people are craving for a download) - I'm a computer programmer with many years of experience. I know a thing or two about this. 

I'm 100% responsible for the link I offer everyone here, and I guarantee it is 100% risk-free and secure. But I'm not responsible if the download link is external from my site on Patreon. And I can't offer any assistance in these cases.
