Although it did not explain why they choose a paralyzed teenage girl as a pilot. I just curious about how Ayase break her legs again. Seems that she stay in wheelchair all the time. Given the fact she s a pilot it is very likely it was an acident during combat or training suffering more than just a back injury. Why else would you have a disabled girl pilot a war machine if she wasn t doing it before her acident already. Perhaps I should not apply logic when talking about +- 14 year old children piloting mechas...
