200 Naruto: Snatching the Mangekyō

"Are you saying that the descendants of the Sage of Six Paths are better suited to handle the power of the Tailed Beasts, or even the Ten-Tails?" Tsunade asked.

"That's simply a fact. The first Ten-Tails Jinchūriki was the Sage of Six Paths. The Uzumaki Clan's constitution makes them excellent Jinchūriki candidates—their abilities are particularly effective against Tailed Beasts. Similarly, our Uchiha Clan is also well-suited for this. The Mangekyō Sharingan, in particular, is the nemesis of Tailed Beasts. Doesn't this all make sense?" Akira replied confidently.

"When you put it that way, it does make a lot of sense," Tsunade admitted after a moment of thought.

"So, are you planning for us to devour the resurrected Ten-Tails' flesh directly, like how Ginkaku and Kinkaku did?" Tsunade asked, her face showing clear disgust.

The mere thought of holding a writhing mass of Ten-Tails' flesh and eating it, blood dripping everywhere, made her feel nauseous.

Even Fugaku and Shisui showed signs of discomfort.

"That's right," Akira nodded. "But keep in mind that the Ten-Tails' flesh is far more potent than any of the Nine Tailed Beasts. Even with your current strength, there's a certain level of risk involved."

"We're already at this point—if taking a risk gives us a slim chance of survival, so be it. If we don't take it, we're guaranteed to die anyway," Tsunade shrugged, forcing herself not to dwell on the grisly imagery.

"That brings us to the question: Fifth Hokage, what do you plan to do about the One-Tail's and Seven-Tails' chakra?" Akira asked.

"Sunagakure and Takigakure aren't going to budge on this matter," Tsunade replied.

From Akira's words, it was evident that he had been preparing for the Ten-Tails' resurrection for a long time. Judging from various signs, the only thing missing now was the chakra of the One-Tail and the Seven-Tails.

Raising an eyebrow, Tsunade asked, "Are you planning to act now? Launch a solo assault on Sunagakure and Takigakure?"

"No," Akira shook his head. "If we attack now, it'll only give Nagato the perfect opportunity. The Flying Thunder God Technique is too versatile—he could appear at any moment. The moment their Jinchūriki are revealed, there's a high chance they'd be snatched by Nagato before even reaching the battlefield."

Hearing this, the three others nodded. Considering Akatsuki's intelligence capabilities, such a scenario was highly probable.

Before they could ask more questions, Akira continued, "The Ryūmyaku in the ancient kingdom of Rōran possesses immense, boundless power. It's strong enough to pierce through space-time and send someone back to the past."

"You're insane!" Tsunade's eyes widened in disbelief. "Do you have any idea what kind of consequences tampering with the past could have? This is reckless beyond words!"

Tsunade glared at Akira and shouted, "Trying to go back in time to capture Tailed Beasts? Do you know how catastrophic that could be? You could erase yourself entirely!"

On the scale of time and space, even a butterfly effect could spiral into something disastrous. At least, that was how Tsunade saw it.

Returning to the past, even just appearing, could trigger severe, unpredictable outcomes.

Shisui, his face full of concern, tried to dissuade him.

"Akira, this is far too dangerous. You shouldn't do this."

However, Fugaku's expression turned thoughtful, as if he had just realized something.

"Perhaps it's not as catastrophic as you think. From what I've heard, when the Fourth Hokage sealed the Ryūmyaku, he encountered individuals who had traveled through time," Akira said calmly.

"How do you know that?" Tsunade asked, stunned. "There's no way you should have that information."

Akira shrugged. "Back when we learned Orochimaru had escaped, I preemptively used the Edo Tensei to summon the Fourth Hokage as a precaution."

"You really are..." Tsunade began, only to trail off. Initially wanting to rebuke him, she reconsidered. Remembering how her granduncle had been resurrected by Orochimaru, she had to admit that Akira's actions weren't entirely wrong.

"Even so, going back in time to capture Tailed Beasts is too risky. The individuals the Fourth encountered likely didn't do anything that altered history," Tsunade said, still uneasy.

Tampering with the past—it was a terrifying concept. The unknown risks made her uneasy.

At this moment, Fugaku spoke up. "Perhaps altering the past doesn't necessarily change the present or the future."

The other three turned to look at him.

"Fugaku, what do you mean?" Tsunade asked, puzzled. Her impression of Fugaku was that of a calm, steady person who wouldn't make baseless statements, especially about something so dangerous.

Fugaku pointed to his right eye and explained in a grave tone, "The technique of my right Mangekyō Sharingan is called Amatsu Mikaboshi. This ability allows me to see different futures. These aren't just future events on a single timeline—they are the futures of parallel worlds."

Hearing this, even Akira looked surprised. Fugaku's Mangekyō ability was undoubtedly powerful.

But a strong technique required careful application. One couldn't let glimpses of certain futures cloud judgment, leading to erroneous decisions. That could have disastrous consequences.

Tsunade frowned. "So you're saying that even if we interfere with the past, it would merely create a new parallel world rather than affecting the present timeline?"

"Exactly," Fugaku confirmed. "Based on the effects of my ability, that's my conclusion."

"From the glimpses I've had through my ability, every choice we make creates a different future. The existence of parallel worlds is clear from my Mangekyō's effects," he added.

"Parallel worlds do seem to exist," Akira agreed.

Tsunade fell into a brief but obvious internal struggle. The idea of altering the past was too dangerous. Even with the Mangekyō's assurance, she found it difficult to make a decision.

But she also understood that Akira and the others were genuinely treating her as one of their own by involving her in this discussion. If the Third Hokage were in power, such a conversation with the Uchiha Clan would have been impossible.

It was a sign of respect and trust.

She didn't hesitate for long. Quickly coming to a decision, she declared, "Fine. Things have already reached this point. If this is our only option, so be it. No outcome could be worse than Nagato becoming the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki, casting Infinite Tsukuyomi, and destroying the entire ninja world!"

Hearing her resolve, Shisui, who had been hesitant, finally felt at ease. He thought to himself:

"She's right. No result could possibly be worse than the destruction of the ninja world."

Akira nodded slowly, a faint smile appearing on his face.

In his plan, layered preparations and multiple safeguards were essential.

His Chimera Technique was one layer of insurance.

Tsunade, Fugaku, and Shisui consuming the Ten-Tails' flesh to gain its power was another layer.

Even having partial Ten-Tails Jinchūriki was a safeguard.

The chakra reincarnations of Indra and Asura added yet another layer.

And finally, even the Tenseigan could be considered a layer of insurance.

Now, the only things left to complete his preparations were the chakra of the One-Tail and the Seven-Tails.
