Personal Post: My Game Dev Journey... and maybe a sexy game?

Hey everyone! Let's catch up a bit!

So as some of you may already know, last year I busted my butt to get far enough ahead on my Patreon work so that I could take 2 months off (November and December) to begin the process of making my own game. Mind you, it's a dark fantasy dungeon crawler with brutal combat and a grimdark art style, so maybe not everyone's cup of tea (it's not a lewd game lol). You can see the progress on my SFW game dev twitter:
"The Black Road" on Twitter

I ended up getting the entire combat system up and running so far, which was awesome! I've learned a ton on game design and programming during the last two months, and this got me thinking... should I make a cute/sexy game?

Why A Sexy Game?
Now, I want to say this up front: I am not sure if I want to work on two games at once. "The Black Road" is where my passion is. That said, I make my income through Patreon, so that means I'm committed to making the usual 4 pinups a month, as always. Lately though, I look around on Twitter and see all the amazing NSFW artists, and I can't help but wonder: "What makes my work special?" I am grateful for all of you who support me here, despite the fact there are so many fantastic artists doing the same thing as me, and often better. But the question still stands:

How is the art I offer here any different than the thousands of other artists who make nude/non-nude Patreon pinups?

I want to step up. Earlier last year, I felt this way. My solution was to make comics, and try to tell a story with my art, to connect people to the characters I make. To my delighted surprise, people responded so well to it! My Patreon grew more during those 6 or so months than any other period before. The work was brutal, I was pulling 12+ hour days to learn and refine the stories and art for those comics. But the work paid off and I learned that I had a strong desire to tell stories!

I didn't know I could do it, but I did! In fact, I was so pumped for that progress, that I ended up wondering:

If I can make comics, why not games?

I've always enjoyed games. In fact, I must admit, I don't actually read many comics, myself. but I do play games, and always have! There's so much ability to tell stories in games! I've always wanted to make my own, but I never thought I had what it took. But after proving myself through comics, I felt empowered! And so my attention refocused, in some ways completely out of my control.

I slowed down on comics about mid last year in order to spend some time looking into game development. I didn't know anything about programming. I didn't know anything about game engines. I spent many hours on YouTube learning my options and landed on the game engine Godot, I tried a tutorial by a well known game dev tutorial YouTuber named Brackeys on making a "first platformer game". From there, I played with what I learned to further my knowledge. I got pretty far, too! Made my own pixel art, enemies, animations, items, and level art, and got it all to work in a playable level!

But in the end, I realized that this project was a bit too big for a first time project. I love pixel art, but making a full metroidvania platformer game is a huge undertaking that often takes 4+ years, even for experienced devs. So I decided to shelve it and start thinking smaller. Something within my existing wheelhouse of skills. that's when I decided to start working on "The Black Road", which I already mentioned above. Here's a screenshot of combat after 2 months of dev work:

So now, here we are, January of 2025. After 2 months of solid skill grinding, I have learned enough programming that I feel confident to work on at least simple game projects. And here I am, also feeling like my pinup content needs some refreshing. A new angle to lift my work up to the next level. So this got me thinking. Why not make a sexy game?

Something simple. Something light.

As I said, I am already on the hook to make 4 pinups a month. But... what if I spent the time I'd normally spend on making those, and work on updating a little dating sim visual novel game? Here's the concept:

Card Battler/ Boss Rush/ Dating Sim, where you partner with sexy waifu gamers to take on bosses in an arcade machine at the local Pizza Joint. Her cards change your deck to keep each fight fresh, and the rewards are relationship progress in the form of visual novel type cutscenes that lead to sexy splash art for an in game gallery.

Would anyone here be interested? What would that even look like? How would I keep up with monthly updates? How do other patreon game devs do it?

I still want to keep working on The Black Road. That's where my main passion is, now. But I still do enjoy making pinups, and for my income, I am committed to continue to at least make the usual 4 pinups a month that I usually do. But if I could find a way to turn those 4 pinups a month into progress on a sexy little game where you could chat with these characters and play for sexy rewards... would anyone be interested?

Feedback and Advice, Please!
Right now, I don't want to promise anything. In fact, the idea of failing to deliver on this is terrifying to me. I don't want to mess up the good relationship I've built with all of you. I am grateful for everything we have built here, over the nearly 10 years I've been running this Patreon. But I also feel like I have more to offer, when it comes to this whole "art thing".

So any advice, thoughts, or feedback on this idea would be greatly appreciated! Let me know where your head's at on all of this!

And thanks for reading through this to the end! It's been a while since I did a personal update, and I'm glad to reconnect a bit. 😁

~Ray

I'm late to the party, but still: I can't speak to what's feasible for you, of course, but I can say that, as a potential audience-member, I think that such a game could be really fun! Further, it could be a great way to "get to know" the characters better. (Both from conversation/monologue/barks (no, I don't specifically mean Ruthie with that last :P), and through what cards they provide.) Plus, while it's always hard to see at the outset how much work a game-feature will be, I _imagine_, at least, that once the framework is in place, cards would make for a relatively quick form of content to add.

Avis In Secreto

I'd love it! I really enjoy sexy adventure games and the more the better!

Servo Kamen

Thanks for taking the time to write this comment! I appreciate the feedback, and the suggestion is a good one! :)

RoninDude

Thank you for the comment! I appreciate the support. I'm still working on some ideas between my usual work, but I'll be sure to let everyone know once I get some real progress on something. :)

RoninDude

All great ideas! Honestly though, episodic dating sim isn't bad. Could base it off squirtgun fighting in the summer heat. The girl you squirt the most opens a cutscene or mini game for a different kind of fun? Why squirtguns? Because it is lighthearted and gives you a fun(ny) way to get together with someone. It also could make the gimmick of deciding who your character spends the night with based on a tally system... and wet bikinis! Now, to your "why me?" concern? Well your art is fun, light hearted, sexy, and cute. It's playful and charming. The way you draw faces and the fact you use elves is a HUGE plus. Sassy, jungle girl, Ruthie, and vampire elf are my easy faves. :)

Duck-Bot

I don’t check my Patreon nearly as often as I should, because as far as I’m concerned, a sexy game containing your art would be a snap buy, no questions asked. And As soon as I saw the title image for The Black Road, I felt I’d love to play that, too.

Robert Luis Villafane

I appreciate the comment! For me, the comics was a vehicle for telling more of a story with my art. But after reflection and experimentation, I feel like the art of program and game design makes a better vehicle for the sorts of experiences I want to create, with my art. It's hard to explain exactly, and it'll be a while until I have an example ready, and even longer after that until the things I make in this new avenue are refined enough to really deliver as I wish to, but it's all coming from a desire to provide an experience with my art. Which is ultimately the core reason I began drawing to begin with. To create daydreams, scenarios, etc. I've run as far as I can with purely illustration, and feel like I need to combine my art with other skills to really say what I want to say.

RoninDude

I kinda slept on this post cause, after reading it, I wanted to give it some good thought before I said anything. Personally, of all the creative directions you've gone, I've enjoyed the comics the most and I would love to see more of those. But I also get the need to push yourself and chase the things that drive and feed your creativity. Keep doing that and I'll be sure to do my part to make sure you don't run out of mountain dew and doritos.

Griffin Hawk

I appreciate that you took the time to comment. Thank you! Right now I can feel a big change coming in how I continue my art career, though I haven't figured it out fully, just yet. Just know that even if I don't always revisit past works or concepts, I'm still trying to aim for better art and more interesting concepts. Thanks again!

RoninDude

I should add that I will TOTALLY play your dungeon crawler, though. Sounds badass!

Clark Kent

Geez, you make video games too? You're too talented, there needs to be a law! But seriously, the thing that makes your art stand out is its style. The clean renders, luscious backgrounds and tantalizing angles. I rank your work up there with Dean Yeagle and Tex Avery. I study your art. My goal is to be as good as you someday. I like your comics most, but that's cuz I want to make nsfw comics myself. I thought you were going to make a dark fantasy strip about your "Cain" dude. He looks cool. I remember you posting sketches of him on DA waaay back in the day. (I've been following you a long time) And all those old drawings of cute elf girls in cottage-like fantasy settings you used to do still gets my blood pumping. I wanna see Cain bang all those pretty elves and maybe kill a wizard. I want THAT. But that's my two cents. Whatever you decide to do, I'll support it.

Clark Kent

Woohoo!

RoninDude

I support this!

Zelse

Thank you for the comment! I appreciate that perspective. For me, I want to think carefully on how I apply myself, so that I am not spinning my wheels. Some back and forth is normal, but I do like to be as efficient as I can haha I am excited for the things I plan to make, because I genuinely think I cam make something fun. The Black Road is certainly in progress, and I have no intention to shelve it. If I can make time to do a little game that showcases my pinup art, that'd be fun too. We'll see how it goes!

RoninDude

Gosh, let's see, what perspective can I add to everyone else's at this point...? I think your nose is right. Going in the direction of comics, telling stories, elevates your art to a new level and makes it so much more special when it lands in my inbox. If it were a simple choice, I'd always be getting stories from you - even if it took twice, or three times as long to produce them! Sure, game development is a massive undertaking. I don't doubt you in particular, but even with all the faith in the world, I would expect you to drop one or both game projects in time, and let myself be surprised if you get to the end in one go. But with that said... actually, in my humble opinion, don't let that stop you? Follow your muse, work on everything that comes to you, and see what sticks and what you learn from it. You're starting out on this road, it should be okay for you to walk down the paths a little bit and reconsider. I'll just sit here and appreciate whatever you create along the way~

Merijn van Tooren

Mad respect for you Ronin

TwistedDoctah

Thanks for the thoughtful comment, Tim. It's interesting to hear all the different ways people ended up discovering my work. I never expected those old maps I shared to catch any eyes, but that's cool to know! As for biting off more than I can chew, I do that a lot haha But I will do my best to make sure that whatever projects I commit to, that it is at least possible to pull off, even if I work too many hours to do it. Thanks again for the comment, and I'll do my best to keep bringing something interesting to the table each month!

RoninDude

It's funny, You first came across my radar a number of years back, not with your sexy pin ups, or even character art, but D&D type battle maps. Which got me looking at your account on DeviantArt and I really liked what I saw. There was a level of fun to things that appealed, and well, I do like sexy pin ups. So here I am. Honestly, yeah, you are one of many in a market full of plenty of good artists doing plenty of sexy things, but what I've always loved about you, is the sexy is layered with charm and whimsy and just good fun. You have a mix of colours and expressions and things that spark joy. I don't know if that makes you special, but it makes you someone who I enjoy seeing what you put out. Even though I am a dungeon delver of old, I don't think I will go for your new game, I've grown tired of grit, and darkness, and sacrifices, I want to 'punch the orc, pet the dog, and save the day', so to speak, these days. But that's just me. If you do decide to try more in the game development realm, more towards the lighter and sexier, I'll be right there. If you don't, well I'll still be here. Just, don't bite off more at once than you can swallow. Keep an eye on what pays the bills, and keeps you fed, and if there's energy and effort, as well as ideas to spare, chase things down that make you happy

Tim Bend

That sounds like very practical advice! It resonates with a lot of what is said in the YouTube game dev space. I can see the temptation to keep refining, but fortunately I'm used to calling something done with my monthly pinup projects, and taking the lessons on to the next work. Hopefully I can pass that on to my game dev works haha

RoninDude

My big piece of advice is plan ahead, and STICK TO THE PLAN. You're gonna want to add stuff, and at some point you're gonna want to START OVER, cause now you have new ideas on how to do everything better. Just save this stuff for the next go around, and stick with your original simple plan!

Mithos56

Hello! Yes, I totally agree! That's the goal. My plan, if I go down this road, is to develop a prototype on the side with, like, stick figure art. Once I have the system in place, I'll time myself on how long it takes to make a new character scene, in full detail. If it takes me too long to do it, then the game will remain a side project. But if I can realistically make monthly content updates for it in the same time it takes me to make my usual monthly pinups, then I'll approach all of you to show it off and ask if it's worth transitioning the rewards to something like that. I think that's the safest way to go.

RoninDude

Thanks, Sogni, I was thinking the same thing. Patrons would get access to the highres splash arts I made for the game.

RoninDude

I appreciate you, Shawn!

RoninDude

Thanks! I love pixel art and rpg maker style games too, the issue is the same as I told them, though. In games like that, you have to spend months making one level, and the player spends 20 minutes there and never returns. So dev time is long and with little replay value. That isn't something that I can see how to turn into monthly updates with monthly content for Patreon. My goal is to take the time I spend on pinups and put that towards a game experience that enhances what my pinups already offer. So that means I'd need to make a game that has a system that has replay value, but with room for small contained add ons. That's why a card battler mini game with visual novel style dates sounded possible. But at the end of the day I still would need to build the systems and see if that's even feasible. It may end up being too much work. That's why I was curious if anyone knew any other patreon creators who do something like that, updating a small nsfw game monthly, so I could learn from them. 😁

RoninDude

I certainly am not alergic to female protags, but I am also only interested in speaking with my own voice about my own interests, when it comes to the art I make. I'll keep doing that, and whatever comes of it is what comes of it. The creators who deeply want to make yuri content should be encouraged to do the same.

RoninDude

Thank you for the encouragement! I really want to pursue telling more of a story with my work. We'll see how things go! :D

RoninDude

Hi RoninDude. While I'd love to see you working on a game with pinup elements, ny main concern is that you are already working on a game that you sound passionate about, and even "small" games have tendency to take more time than one would except. Before you make this decision make sure you can work on both projects at once.

lost in numbers

The game idea sounds fun. I’ve found that I prefer art/NSFW with a story, rather than just a pose. Just make the month’s new pin-ups available as static images outside the game, as you already do, and I don’t see an issue. (No need to create new backgrounds — you can share them as png files or take screenshots of them as they appear in game).

Sogni Scuri

I am here for the sexy pin-ups, so if the game has sexy pin-ups, I am all for it. If it doesn't, I will probably still supoort it.

Shawn K. Younkin

I share the sentiment for a cute sexy game also! Whatever style of game you choose your art will definitely make it appealing in and of itself! Maybe as someone else said an RPG maker pixel sprite game could be fun to do your characters in that style with cut scenes and conversation avatars in your usual style?

Otaku Twenty-Four Seven

I hope it's a fem protag (or at least a fem option). Too many dating sims are allergic to having fem protagonists / yuri options. It's your creative vision tho, I don't wanna impose my desires on you, I'm simply throwing ideas out there..

TwistedDoctah

I'm really looking forward "The Black Road"! It's looking pretty amazing! And the project for a sexy game also sounds fantastic!❤ Personally, I find your contect very appealing: the art line is marvelous and there's always a bit of background story (which always appreciate). Sure, you can have God drawing skills... but giving some extra meaning to the artwork is the cherry on the top.👌👌

Dobraukin

I appreciate that! We'll see if I can pull it off haha

RoninDude

Still sounds cool good sir

Delta9-11

I'm sure it will! ^^

Obsidian

Hopefully so!

RoninDude

If I can do it according to my intent, then it'll be a direct upgrade to the pinups, having everything they offer, and more. :)

RoninDude

To be honest, no. It'll have permadeath, and comradery, but more on a surface survival level. On a narrative level, the game will be about loss, struggle, and perseverance, as each character seeks a wish to be fulfilled by way of a pilgrimage to a holy site in a dying world. Some of the wishes are grim. Some are foolish. Some are well intended but hopeless. The point is the journey, and the struggle to pursue something you put value in, even if it will likely end in absolute desolation. Of course the gameplay will be a dungeon crawler with brutal combat and cool loot and abilities. But the narrative is a personal journey each hero takes, they just take it alongside other capable strangers with a common end point.

RoninDude

Tommi, I really appreciate that you took the time to write that message. I get so lost in the struggle to prove to myself that I can do better than yesterday, that it can be easy for me to lose sight of my progress, or the voices cheering me on. I am very fortunate to have people like you looking at my work, and really trying to see what I'm trying to say with it. Even if it's just a silly comic about an overzealous lifeguard, or a shiny elf butt, or a grimdark journey of loss, struggle, and perseverance (The Black Road game I'm working on). I want to do more, and be more, and that's become my only mode of operation this last year. I recognize after the fact that the last few patreon months have not landed so well. They are uninspired, though I did really try. But I can't lie, my muse flew somewhere else, and I'm chasing it. Game dev is where it's at for me, so I'm trying to take this new found focus and make use of it, especially to entertain the people who have supported me through this journey I've been on. Thanks again for the encouragement. It means more than I could ever say! I'll try to make good use of it.

RoninDude

Getting a feel for it definitely sounds like a good idea. If it's something you end up being able to do and want to do then I'm all for it. I would miss the pin-ups a little bit but the end project would definitely be worth it!

Lucavi Voltaire

I appreciate that realistic view. I often find myself juggling "too many projects". I'm also running a homebrew dungeons and dragons game, and have been for 7 years. That takes at least a day out of every week to prepare, and one to run. So I'm used to running with all gears firing, just to not fall behind haha That said, my hope with this sexy game would be to reapply the amount of effort I put on pinups into an interactive format. So not really adding more work, but hopefully exchanging it. But that's only really worth it if I can provide more value than I already do with the illustrative pinups alone. And before I can even start with that, I'll have to make the systems for the "sexy game". This is good, because it'll give me a chance to see what I am getting into, in terms of the content requirements. If I end up making the system, and the first load of content takes me too much time, then it'll have to be a side project, and not a Patreon rewards replacement. That's the most important part, for me. I appreciate the feedback and advice!

RoninDude

That sounds fun! It's a good mix!!

Obsidian

Thats fair, but is it gonna have a relationship system where characters can like/love eachother and create cooperation bonuses?

Delta9-11

It's inspired in part by Darkest Dungeon, for sure! The Black Road is going to be a completely non-lewd game, to be clear. As an artist, I need to be able to express creativity outside of just sexy themes, and that's the purpose of that game. I deeply love grimdark fantasy and eldritch horror, so I'm putting that stuff in there.

RoninDude

I also dig fantasy, and I was thinking it would take place in Sassy's town so I could have her and other characters in it, but the arcade game you play with your chosen waifu would be fantasy themed pixel game (her cards are added to your battler deck, perhaps). So in the end, the game would be a bit of a mix of anime modern and fantasy. The idea is still really new, so a lot of refinement of the concept is needed.

RoninDude

Long time fan, first time caller. I wanted to start with preface the feedback with a little thought and a little history. Sorry if it's a little long-winded. The thought - What I believe art is. Everyone has their own, so why not me too? I wholeheartedly believe in someone manifesting their inspirations in a medium people can partake in. A crayon drawing from a 4 year old. 'That's a sweet looking owl, kiddo.' 'That's sissy.' 'Oh...Still sweet.' A older gentleman handy with his metalworking to hand produce flowers that are everlasting. A teenager who won second place in a school competition with a 7 line poem about love that barely connected with the actual subject matter. If you can dream it, whether it is pretty, ugly, or spicy, chances are high that I'm going to enjoy it. The history - We don't know each other personally. It'd be on par with me saying I know Rembrandt. I have, however, been a fan of yours since you were making red dress wearing punks with their tongue out and sexy cave women getting tied up by some hentai tentacle boogaloo. May not be the stone age origins of Ronindude, but Deviantart is one hell of a place for art of pretty elf girls and manly, armored dwarves. The feedback - I have been enjoying your work for years. The flat colors and simple backgrounds(if any) of the past. Your dark fantasy arcs that still pop up to this day. The string of high detail, high shade blonde bombshell that you blessed us with. Colorful stories with almost 'where's Waldo?' amounts of goodies to find in nearly every page. And, now, the dude is up to something more, and I'm all for it. A little negative feedback I have is that I feel the past few months since the start of your game development journey have been uninspired. 'Going through the motions,' as some would call it, for business sake. I understand it. We all see what you are up to, and how hard you are working. The fact that you are up for creating more to keep your audience's attention and passion right along side you is amazing. Keep on trucking. Video games has been one of my favorite mediums since I was 6 years old hopping from one warehouse to the next 'helping' my dad work on gambling machines. Those weren't telling as much of a story, but you get the drift. This card battler half reminds me of those old gaming machines. You'd win a few hands, and the cheerleader suddenly has a new pose. Another few, the top comes off. A more refined dating sim with beautiful art, some world building, and TCG aspect would be right up this old man's alley. You have my support, no matter what direction you take. Your next step could be to author a few comics or actual novels, and I would hunt for your works on the shelves. (Sorry for the long post. Sorry if it sounds weird. Hope that it inspires you, instead.)

Tommi Winn

Your game reminds me of Darkest Dungeon. Hopefully there's some NSFW elements within it like relationships and such

Delta9-11

You have a really good point! I personally really like your fantasy stuff, hence my suggestion, but if your heart is telling you to do the pizza joint, do it!!! When an artist is into what they are doing it's palpable!!!

Obsidian

Dude The Black Road looks awesome and I am so damn stoked for it! I'll definitely be keeping up on your Twitter to watch the progress unfold. I follow your art because I love the personality and your style. I think it is fantastic and unique. I've been a long time follower and seen all of the different styles that you have tried and used has been awesome. A sexy game from you would also be really cool and I absolutely will support you on that when you decide to do it. Definitely don't put too much on your plate in my opinion however. If you can swing it great. But sometimes juggling too many things can make it a chore rather than enjoyable and I'd hate to see that happen. Whatever you do decide to do I will be there with you all the way!

Lucavi Voltaire

I appreciate the compliment! I'm just trying to learn, and it's easier to learn when you really want it! As for game genre, I think an rpg maker type game would put me back into the same situation as the platformer metroidvania. Games like that take years of work just to get all the systems and level art done. You have to design every area, which is often only visited once. As a game dev, you end up spending months on a part of the game that the player spends 20 minutes in and never returns. I think that's fine for certain projects, but for a game I would have to update monthly with meaningful content, that sounds brutal haha What I'm aiming for here is something that I could make meaningful updates, monthly. I figured a card battler dating sim set in a pizza joint with visual novel cutscenes would fit the bill, because the basic game loop is playing an arcade cabinet in the pizza joint that runs a card battler boss rush game for points. I like that, because it's a reusable system. I make it once, and then I can reuse it and add to it with little updates with new bosses to fight. Then, to flesh out the characters more each month, I could add the visual novel cut scenes between tournaments at the pizza place with whatever waifu was for the current month. You know how I do little scenes for each pinup set? It's basically that, but in visual novel form. To me that seems like a straight upgrade from static illustrations. These scenes could even be outside the pizza joint, maybe a skating date, or paintball, etc. Just another way to prompt pinup scenes with dialog, like what I do most months. But in the end, it's got to be something people are interested in, or else I could be spending my energy on something more worthwhile. :) Again, I appreciate your feedback! It's helpful!

RoninDude

Damn man! You're so fucking talented!! Since you ask about genres, I'm not a super fan of visual novels, but your style definitely fits them as it's very bright and funny. I think a sexy fantasy game, maybe in rpg maker style could be a good avenue for you! My first thought is of guiding a party of rather clumsy/ useless sexy lady adventurers that keeps getting into awkward and lewd situations :p

Obsidian

🤣

Bobcatx2 .

Also, just wanna say I love the descriptor "Boner Comedy" lol

RoninDude

Thanks for the feedback! I have so many ideas for game styles, from visual novels to full on action games. But in the end, my goal with this (if I pursue it) is to bring what I offer in my pinups to the next level of personality through interactive means.

RoninDude

Thank you for the thoughtful comment, it is very encouraging! My hope with the dating sim (that's a loose categorization at best) is to make a game that adds to what my pinups already provide. But of course, that depends a lot on how well I execute it. I like the idea of being able to directly interact with the characters in a setting, control the flow of the dialog and events, have music, and just something to do in a cohesive world. I like the idea of being able to visit Sassy's town, in some form or another, and for there to be a way to collect these pinups in an interactive way. But that's just me daydreaming about it, for now. I really want to know if it's something people will want, because otherwise I'll just keep making my usual pinups and continue to work on the Black Road in the meantime.

RoninDude

I think a leisure suit larry type boner comedy beat-em-up would be awesome! Having an over world with different memorable npcs would definitely lend itself to your style. You're really good at making fun and memorable characters.

Bobcatx2 .

In regards to your question about your work. It is true that NSFW artists are a dime a dozen. What makes your work stand out for me is the creativity. Your style is simple in design yet complex in its dynamism. The characters are almost never static. They're performing actions and showing off a variety of expressions. They often interact with the environment and each other which makes them not only fun and alive in addition to sexy. They're characters rather than just images. Moreover the scenery brings so much color and personality that it adds another dimension to the piece, one replete with attention to detail, Easter eggs and even comedy/horror. Your work stands above other NSFW work because it is in fact more than just NSFW work and I love to both experience it and support it. As for games, I will admit that I'm not into dating sims but I would like to support wherever your art takes you as watching other artists seek to improve their work inspires me to do the same. Definitely looking forward to Black Road though

Jon Mopho

I think I'd want to make new stories that served the game, and also to avoid repeating myself to people who already enjoyed the comics. But I could certainly use some of the previous characters and scenarios. :)

RoninDude

I appreciate the feedback!

RoninDude

Thanks for updating! As for having the art done, I don't really, because I'd need to make splash artworks for the visual novel scenes in the game. That's what I am thinking would serve as the patreon reward updates. Because I'm already familiar with making up to 4 full artworks a month for Patreon, so if I could keep the work scope to that level, then that might work.

RoninDude

What if you tried turning some of your past comics or pin ups into visual novels, as a starting point?

Honestly, a sexy card battle dating game sounds like it could be fun if you get the motivation to take a stab.

The game cube artwork & natural light there at the beginning is one of my favorites, reminds me of being a young adult. Anyways haven’t read the entire post yet but definitely enjoyed the artwork I seen of you making a game that sounds fun to do… anyways good luck! And I’ll definitely read the rest of the post , just wanted to be the first comment lol. Anyways just got done reading & I think you should go ahead with the sexy game since ya got the artwork part done basically? With all the pinups over the years that could be an idea to put it into a game maybe ? Hmmm I’ll definitely ponder 🤔 on this for a while & get back to ya.
