Comic Process
Added 2023-04-04 13:35:50 +0000 UTCHere's my next comic + screenshots to show a bit of my process! First, I upload the sketches and get the layout, then I trace the images, add flat colours, and then any extra shading/details/text.
A lot of my comic is tweaked as I go (I can be quite picky). It took me forever to decide on a shirt colour for Liz, and the length of the back leg and tail in those first two panels needed some work. Much of the shading/details are done freehand with the mouse. I sometimes grab elements from previous art to paste into a comic if I need to (Liz's head in the 2nd frame) just to save time if they're not huge comic elements.

Do you have a list of ideas that you plan to make into comics or do you try to follow a schedule like "storyboard/layout/sketch/color"? I do not have a creative bone in my body and I envy those that can come up with this kind of thing, but I'm so glad that people like you exist.
