Raging against the dark
Added 2019-10-31 22:51:44 +0000 UTCDue to the recent chain of power outages in Northern California, I bought an inverter generator. Been educating myself on best practices, and looking forward to testing it out this weekend. :)
I lost 4 days of work to blackouts and the risk of blackouts. Saturday was in a threat of blackout all day, and so I didn't want to run my pc, in case of sudden loss of power. The power was out all day Sunday, and most of Monday. Power was restored late on Monday, but was scheduled to go off again, early Tuesday morning. So, I didn't start my pc up, in fear of imminent blackouts... but, the blackouts never came. So, I lost Saturday through Tuesday, no work. I should have had all of October's work done by this afternoon, but alas...
Anyways, I got a beefy generator now, so hopefully my electricity problems are no more! Back to work for me!

I appreciate that! I think I am good, though. I have my eye on one that will work for my setup, just a matter of setting aside the cash. Should be able to, very soon.

2019-11-12 10:11:23 +0000 UTCI appreciate the suggestion! But I don't own a laptop, and so that would be a hefty investment, as well. The generator I bought will run much more than I need it to, so I think that should be efficient enough. :)

2019-11-01 21:27:31 +0000 UTCI was going to suggest maybe using a laptop, but then I realized depending on the type of drawing tablet you're using that'll require it's own power so yeah, not really helpful. >.<
