Colored Pinup (February week 4)

Finally got this one done! really had fun with this one, though I definitely need to do some studies on evergreen trees... Personally, I like seeing the strokes in artwork, and it's fun for me to try and get basic shapes and brush strokes to read well as a picture... But I need to practice more on outside scenery. Putting that on the to-do list! But it works well enough for now, I suppose.

Anyways, I'll be sending the rewards for February shortly! And now on to March! I should have some new art for March up soon. :)

Thanks for your support!

I probably will! I've got a few more ideas revolved around this scene. :)

Actually, that fit with my thoughts. "Camo-bikini" was just an easy way to identify her. ;) I do hope you might revisit the girls over time, together, or individually.

Interesting! I can totally see how it would look that way. Even though none of this is expressed in the images, my thought was that she was more of a book worm. Kind of like a fan of outdoor culture, but with no real world experience. Her friends have drug her away from her computer for a vacation at the summer cabin, and she's a bit too curious for her own good. I suppose the camo bikini and hat probably lends to the idea that she's a more outdoorsy type, but I actually wanted to be a bit "hypocritical" with that. Kind of like a football fan who's never tossed a football, etc. Of course, I don't expect all that to translate in the image, but that's the idea I was thinking of, as drawing it. Really, any interpretation is totally fine. :)

Thank you! Bob Ross is awesome, so that's great to hear. XD I am thinking of a sequel, actually. :)

RoninDude

Lol, maybe not quite yet... XD

Given this one, and the other picture with her with the magnifying glass, I take it that camo-bikini is a bit of a naturalist/explorer.

Donovan "Ravenhull"

Lovely picture. The strokes work great for the trees, reminds me a bit of watching Bob Ross turn a bunch of seemingly random brushstrokes into trees and shrubs. This picture really deserves a sequel or possibly an aftermath ;)

Michael

I get the impression she has a bee on her butt there :p
