Artbook Project
Added 2015-05-14 06:19:55 +0000 UTCAs many of you may have noticed, the direction of my Patreon page has been evolving. I have learned a lot since starting here, and one major lesson has been that I am not quite prepared for the grandeur of my original project. Namely, the silent story artbook project that I began this Patreon with. Progress has been slow, mainly because I keep adding more to the original idea, until it's become this monumental project. It's become so large, in fact, that it no longer even pretends to fit within the confines of a monthly updating reward for you guys. In order to make this project what it really deserves to be, I need to go back to the drawing board, as it were, and spend some time organizing my plans. This means writing outlines, working on mass sketches, and editing on a large scale. In the meantime, my weekly pinups have been kicking out with marked progress! I think it's safe to assume that you like them too, considering how fast this page has grown since introducing them. So, what I want to do is continue to build these up. As support for the page grows, so too will the amount of pinups I do, weekly. So if you want more updates, as in, more art for your $$$, spread the word! I can't tell you how much it helps when you share the link to this page, and tell people what sort of quality you can get. And of course, I would love to hear recommendations for how to make this page even better for you all! Thank you all for your continued support, it literally is the difference between "making it" and "packing up" for me.

Thanks Rally! Yes indeed, I will certainly share the progress I make on that project, as it comes. I just feel it's proven to be irregular enough that I don't feel right offering it as a reward to my supporters. Making comics is a goal of mine. This art book was going to be the push that got it all going. However, I realized that I haven't gotten to the point where I can support the amount of energy and time this project needs, until we grow a bit more. I do not want to cut corners, just to make deadlines. These pinups take much less effort and thought, and they come out pretty good, if I may say so, so it makes sense to make them the main event, for now. What I need to focus on first is growing the patreon page. Once we have grown the patreon, I can harness the power of all my supporters to start creating bigger and better things. But to start smart means to start small. That's the idea I am moving forward with. Right now, I can efficiently post one spontaneous pinup a week, and not worry about missing a deadline. With more supporters, I will be able to do 2 a week. Even more supporters and I will be able to make process videos and other creations. Once I have enough supporters, I will be able to pull it all in and bring this fantasy world to life, with the energy and care that is needed to make it truly great. It's worth it for the project, and it will be well worth it for everyone who helps me along the way. :) On that note, if you know of anyone who might be interested in checking out the page, I would be forever grateful for the share!

I was really enjoying the characters and situations you were creating and sharing here. As for the pinup work, well hell yeah it great. A different direction, sure, but one I won't argue with. :) All in all if this helps you work on your fantasy project, then I'm all for the evolution. Bring it on!
