Switchable voltage USB-C module

This module communicates with modern USB PD (Power Delivery) power supplies and sends a request for the voltage chosen on the switches.

Whether you actually get that voltage depends on the power supply.

The voltage options are 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 20V.

The main advantage of this module is that the current can be fairly high as it is supplied directly from the power supply and not boosted up from 5V.

I've included a switch setting guide in the video's description.

Putting in solid links is probably a good idea anyway, as it's more reliable than switches for a fixed voltage.

I love these little boards, great for retro fitting stuff to USB C, I've desoldered the switches, bodged the connection, and removed the screw terminals in the past to lower the profile in a pinch.

The Vbus connection is to check voltage as part of handshake is to confirm the correct voltage has arrived. If a voltage out of scope of the charger as requested the chip gets a error message saying this is max. Then up to the IC if it sends a shutdown message back or pick the maximum available.
