Artemis .Goddess of hunt.(term 37)
Added 2016-07-11 23:59:50 +0000 UTCThis piece is based on Greek lore , goddess of hunt. picked red hair because i think redheads look very strong and it balances out the green tones background :)
It's painted a little rough, wanted to change it up bit from my usually more rendered works :)in this piece I mostly used the Photoshop chalk brush instead of the standard round brush. I'm actually happy with the color palette i picked for this piece surprisingly XD

I like how the her red hair just stands out against the green background and also her yellow dress. There's a lot of really cool texturing going on from her dress, to the fur cape, the feather on her wings, and the wood on the bow. Overall, this is a really great painting.

I've been on every term for over a year on patreon and I love what you do Sakimi! It's just this isn't what I imagine a Greek Goddess to be…perhaps I'm just selective because I have taken a mythology class recently? I know this is a very fantasy based depiction and not accurate to Greek culture and history depictions. It has a very comic feel to it in design. When I look at this as a work on its own the face and hair are gorgeous and the details like her bow, waist, and forearm covers are lovely. I think the colors clash a little but I know you like the color pallet on this, it just doesn’t seem to flow like most other works I’ve seen. I don’t want to deter you from making god/goddess based designs! I only want to give my utmost respect to you as an artist Sakimi, but I also want to be honest in my opinions even if they are not the most likable. I still think you are the finest of artists, this work just wasn't a favorite of mine.
