All hail Reze.
It was fun watching this on the big screen, even though I was already familiar with the story from the manga.
NGL, Reze's voice threw me off a little, as I always imagined her to sound a little more ... husky, i believe is the term(?), but her higher pitched voice grew on me over time, too.
But yeah, Reze really is the archetypal manic pixie dream girl (for those unaware, the manic pixie dream girl is an archetype in fiction, who mostly serves as a love interest for the main character, and, through her quirky and eccentric behavior, pulls him out of the monotony of life and opens his eyes to a completely new world). Or at least the personality she puts up as a front to lure in Denji is.
And, I'm not ashamed to admit, it worked on me, too. I fell for it hook, line and sinker. As did a lot of people. There is a reason she is as popular as she is after all.
Though of course it also would be somewhat disappointing if there wasn't more to her than just that. I think Fujimoto did a good job writing her.
Shame she was only in the story for as little as she was. Then again, who knows what would have happened to her legacy, if she had stayed any longer.
And of course the mystery around Makima deepens, too. I'm looking forward to seeing your reaction, once we learn more in future seasons.

JJK Season 2 Episode 17 has been dethroned. The latter half of this movie now takes the crown as the most batshit crazy display of animation I've seen.
