April Q&A

Some of its past victims had journals of their own, which is how the plant knows about heart symbols, the female symbol, and a general gist of that part of the world.

----------

Juniper: What is an Auborus Willow or Palm Grass? How do you know so much about Cursed Jungle plants?

J:  Oh, I read about Aurborus willow in a book.  I read about palm grass too, but I mostly know about it because of Aunt Josie.

J: Regular palm grass existed before the cursed jungle, it was a magical plant that attracted small burrowing rodents and used them to generate magic.  It's called Palm Grass because it can form rodent-stuffed tubers that look like coconuts.

J: Part of the capture process involved tiiiny glowing flowers.  It used to be a powerful medical herb but it was lost when the cursed jungle.. um.. consumed the west.

J: Anyway, Josie has been trying to find it for years.  I-I only remember Auborus "Willow" because it's... really creepy. It was a bush that stuffed insects and sometimes small animals full of eggs and.. ugh. Some scholars think it was one of the earliest "cursed" plants, and that the sudden spread had warning signs, but I think the evidence is.. a little sketchy?

J: The west had pretty poor growth conditions, there were more parasitic plants in the region than anywhere else... w-well I guess that's still true!

This is my favorite qa to date, really clarifies what's going on to me. Ceiling plant really doesn't like water plant... I mean the bugger has gravity and a drawbridge trap working for it

So it's not competing so much for sustenance as it is for subjects to appease a deity or somesuch which, in return, arms it with tesla tentacles
