As for the other question for this month:

To Anyone (Went to Rika): “How common is magic? How rare is it, what are some examples of how varied it can be, and what are some of its limitations?”
Rika: Hrm.. I think you mean spells, right?
R: Spellcasting ability is pretty common! Most people could learn 6-7 tier spells in a few arts (Light, Water, etc) if they put the effort into it. In practice 2-3 is more common, that covers most of the day-to-day stuff. Being unable to learn any kind of magic is rare, as is being able to learn 8-10 tier magic. A lot of people can’t go as high as 6 though, you’re in good company if your max is a bit lower! My favorite spell – the plant creating one – is only tier 3. Although I guess if I could cast any spell.. well, I heard of this 10-tier earth spell that’s basically “summon small structure” that sounds really neat! I’m not very good at earth magic though, heh.
R: Anyway, spell power isn’t exactly linear, but there is a lot it can’t do. If I was fighting a battle or reconstructing a town I’d take 20 skilled mercs over someone with no fighting experience but a couple 10ths. Usually, anyway!
R: Spells aren’t all there is to magic though! There are onsoals, runes, magic items, I mean, it’s a little like asking “how rare is air?” I can’t imagine what the world would be like without it!
