If it's not one of the best it's probably the most important! one of my favourite episodes and the fact spenny let us expose him as this monster really set him up in the fans eyes as the loser of the series! This also might be the greatest spenny appearance in any of the episode's! This was a real joy to watch. Enjoy.

This was the first episode I saw. I saw it on YouTube 6 months ago after hearing about the show for basically my whole life. It was so good and mind-blowing that it hooked me instantly and led me to watch every episode and every last thing on this Patreon. You say that people say top 3 is Octopus/Fart/Imitate, but personally I think Beer might even be the GREATEST episode of all. Either way, it's certainly deserves to be in the top 3 more than Imitate. I also think it's the perfect entry point into the show. It elucidates the the nature of the show and its titular characters so perfectly. You witness both sides of Spenny's soul. After this one episode you understand Spenny's entire character. His neurotic, moralising facade and his deep substance abuse. The same is true of Kenny, of course. His scheming, humour, confidence, composure, etc. are all on full display. The episode also has a flawless example of how Kenny cheats, including both a deception that lasts the whole episode and a coup de grace cheating tactic to end the comp. You understand the structure and how the show allows cheating. Furthermore, the challenge itself illuminates the bravery of the show. No other show on television would do something like this because of the insane legal risks involved. But Beer shows you KvS is willing to do anything. Which primes you for believing that the show could go off into any direction, regardless of how insane it is. Once you've seen Beer, you completely believe in Octopus or whatever else seems too crazy to be real. No other episode is quite so emblematic of the show as a whole as Beer. Highly recommend it as the episode to show people who've never seen the show. They might just end up writing 300 word diatribes on fucking Patreon where it will be read by 0 people.

Kenny and spenny have the comedic relationship that a Duo needs, and seeing spenny get mad and argue with Kenny and take offense to everything Kenny says is always going to be funny to me. The new commentaries are good for information but they are nowhere near as funny

I just want the 2 of them to go back and do commentary for old episodes, it would be a thousand times more enjoyable to me to actually have the 2 main stars of the show talking about it and getting into hilarious arguments. Spenny drinking and freaking out, it would be awesome

I'm listening for behind the scenes knowledge, not to have my eardrums blown out lol

You wouldnt be here right now if Spenny wasn't on the show because it wouldnt have as much lasting power. Without spenny this show would never exist or be as funny. The twisted friendship is the core of the show, and the old commentaries highlight it perfectly

Just imagine any of the shows where Kenny totally tricked Spenny like blindfold. It would ruin the comedy dynamic. You can't replace Spenny

Its more like a podcast then commentary, which is fine, but I want to see the comedy duo themselves reacting to their shows and making new hilarious content.

There is a reason the show is Kenny vs. Spenny and not vs Sebby. It would be SO boring to see a show with 2 kennys. Spenny being the butt of the joke of every episode and always trying to be the moral person makes the show. Can't have a comedy duo without the straight man getting annoyed with the joker. Sebby is cool, but he is no spenny. Remember the episode where spenny leaves, Who can lift more weight with their genitals? It showed that spenny could never really be replaced because any replacement would be annoying and not funny.

Don't get me wrong Sebby is awesome from a production and history standpoint, but I want to see spenny getting pissed and arguing with Kenny and disagreeing with the results and putting his thoughts in. I just cant really watch these over and over I just tune out.

We can watch season 7 with 2 Kennys but it would be unwatchable with 2 spenny's

At 16:11 they're scoffing at people who call "fake" when they learn about pickups/reshoots/etc... and I was suggesting those same people would probably be disappointed to learn Kenny and Jamie didn't actually do a nude photoshoot in the woods before the instructor got back.
