They really animated the fuck out of that Geto vs Toji fight, it was nowhere near that energetic or creatively storyboarded in the manga. In the manga Geto and Toji barely move from the spot where Riko gets shot and the whole fight happens in that general area, here the two are all over the place! This is what a great adaptation does. It doesn't just make the source material move, it *elevates* it.

2023-07-31 22:13:10 +0000 UTCIn the manga we get the name of the chain Toji used in his....."fight" with Gojo here, it's the "Chain of a Thousand Miles" and it can extend infinitely so long as one end of it is kept hidden, of course that doesn't matter now since Gojo probably had both it and the Inverted Spear of Heaven destroyed so they can't be used to get the drop on him again. At least I think he did, probably. It's what I would've done. If you're Superman you don't just let a kryptonite dagger exist. Alas, poor Toji Fushiguro died as he lived, too god damn fast. In the end it was both his carelessness and pride that got him, and in his final moments with half his torso literally DELETED, his final thoughts were of his son. His son that he gave a girl's name for funsies. Even with as little screentime as a he got, Toji quickly became a fan favorite among JJK readers.
