Pucci is very much a "The ends justify the means" type of character, the kind that sees only the good of his end goal and blinds himself to the evils of his actions because they're "necessary" or whatever. Though you could say that everyone sadly shares varying shreds of that hypocrisy in the end considering morality is largely personal barring the broad, widely socially accepted principles we've agreed upon as a society. Sadly, if someone's personal moral compass is highly influenced by the idea of a higher power then there's basically no reasoning with them at all as they'll default to just saying that their all powerful immortal deity who loves and hates when convenient agrees with everything they say and that makes their cause, and therefore their actions, unquestionable. This kind of a comedically mundane comparison, but I once saw an instagram post from I don't know some self righteous catholic asshole or whatever that belittled Religious Trauma as "just telling people sin is bad" and I thought to myself "It's like these people live in a whole other world". I've never experienced this kind of thing myself, but I've heard horror stories of kids who grew up with unreasonable religious parents who'd punish them for indulging in things they deemed "satanic" or worse, LGBT youth who just get out through the fucking wringer. Bullying, Being called abominations, Being told they're going to suffer for eternity at an age where that can REALLY fuck with you mentally, being cut off from friends that could support them emotionally, physical abuse, "conversion therapy", you name it. All because those parents were taught that the so-called "evil" they were taught to fear was that much worse than the evil they subject their kids to. The OP of that instagram post belittled all that, and then acts surprised when people don't have kind words for them as if they're the real victim. People have ended their own lives because of this, OP didn't give a damn. Apparently the need to feel superior over others took priority over even the slightest modicum of empathy, I'm sure God is real proud of the bastard. A person who's evil and relishes in it will get more respect from me than one who deludes themselves into thinking that they're infallible. The former at least has the guts, the self awareness to admit that they're a bastard who deserves nothing but pain, the latter is just a pathetic coward with an inflated ego at best and a deluded mess of a man at worst.
