Wis MVP and I never realised regarding the Bulma family.... dang! When I was a kid and heard Vegeta, I instantly thought of the vegetable stock all Slav's have in their kitchens.

2022-08-10 11:26:33 +0000 UTCi think i did mention it before, but yeah, toriyama loves his pun names. i'm sure you're aware, but all sayains are named after vegetables (kakarot = carrot, vegeta = vegetable, nappa = a type of japanese cabbage) hence why vegeta wanted to call the kid ashalot (shallots), all of picollo's original family from before z are named after instruments, all other namekians after snails (nail = snail, dende = the japanese term for snails; slug = slug) all gods after drinks (beerus = beer; whis = whisky; champa = champagne; vados = calvados) and almost all humans after food (kuririn = roughly japanese word for chestnuts; tenshinhan = quasi chinese dish) and all of bulma's family are named after underwear. we have bulma, which is a bastaridation of bloomers, her sister is tights, her dad is doctor briefs, her mom is bikini, and her children are named trunks and bra. also, on a somewhat unrelated tangent, i'm pretty sure a lot of women would have loved to have a wihs around them, when they were giving birth.
