2022-12-07 11:29:01 +0000 UTCIn one sense yes, but also then imagine if by getting your fortune told you are walking down a seperate path from the one you would have walked had you not had your fortune told. You are eventually creating two seperate possibilities each time you do, or do not get your fortune told as the knowledge alters your decisions and leads to a different outcome.

2022-09-17 04:34:45 +0000 UTCyou know, i get the appeal of fortune telling. the unknown is scary and it can be comfortable to have the feeling you know what's going to happen in advance. however, just out of principal, i don't think i'd like for fortune telling to be real. the only way for fortune telling to be real is for our fates to already by decided in advance. this however would mean that free will and choice are merely an illusion, and that nothing what we do or think in life truly matters, as we're all just playing out the script that some higher power laid out for us at birth. it's rather terrifying on an existential level, if you truly think about it.
