Youre right about natural honey. Storebought mass produced honey: Delicious, very creamy and easy to spread and pour. No benefits other than flavor and convenience (and some minor versions of the benefits of local honey) Locally produced small batch honey: Tastes even better than store honey, has all the flavor of honey, and also the flavor of your town, all of flowers and plants around. Natural local allergen tolerance with long term consumption. Natural immunity gain to local diseases carried by local plants. Thicker usually, a tiny bit harder to spread but not a big deal. Supports local farmers. Supports local economy. Did I mention it tastes better? God I fucking love local honey. One of my neighbors has a farm, they have hives, they have zebras, they have buffalo, they have elk, they have a camel, they have alpacas (they make coats), they have so many animals they take care of. The only things we dont eat is the bees (obviously), the zebras (its the womans passion to own zebras for some fuckn reason) or Cairo (their camel, hes a homie). Everything else is eaten, and trust, locally raised Buffalo is easily the best "beef" you will ever eat. Of course, where you live I doubt buffalo are common. Elk is close second place for meat imo. Love Elk. Sorry im off on a tangent of all the benefits of living in a rural community with an exotic farm nearby. Their biggest money maker is the bees though. People go crazy for their honey. Idk why tf mass producers add sweeteners to honey, its so damn sweet naturally anyway. Its like 75% sugar and made to feed their larva. Its delicious. (Also if you havent already, im sure you have, please for your own sake try honeycomb)
