"Show don't tell" and all that but sometimes you can "tell" so good it's better than showing. And an episode dedicated to the main character reflecting on the season is my favourite thing. Literally one of my favourite games recently in Disco Elysium which is all about "personification of a brain function talking to you" and the game is just the most amazing "choose your own adventure" RPG

2022-01-29 04:44:26 +0000 UTCand here we are finally officially introduced to the most irritating character in the show .... and of course she's literally called mary sue. talk about nominative determinism. i keep my thoughts on her for the movie, should you decide to do it, but for now i want you to remember that, as pointed out before, it was the entente alliance that started the war, not the empire. they were the ones who unlawfully invaded empire territory and tried to claim it for themselves. for how much she blames the empire for being evil and being responsible for all the bad in the world, including her father's death, she seems very eager to forget that it was actually her own native country that started the war. at least anson sioux, before being manipulated by being x, did have enough introspection to realize that they were the ones to blame for everything. to bad his daughter lacks the brain to do the same.
