2021-06-15 13:29:16 +0000 UTCRegarding carriages in the Re:Zero world.. Ground dragons have a sort of divine protection that will reduce wind resistance, and this is extended to carriages and riders. This makes the logic of how easy it is to use carriages a bit different than in the real world. The anime glosses over this a bit, but you can see a flashback for when Subaru learns of the limitations of this for when they traveled to the capital in S1 E12. Also Subaru uses this when he throws the gospel to get Betelgeuse off the carriage in S1 E25. By the way.. The divine protection will stop working when the ground dragon stops moving and then needs a recharge time. It is because they failed to recharge it that the carraige is very shaky for Emilia and the children in S1 E25.

For one I don't think it works like that, I think that there is one specific door connected until Beatrice changes it (or it might change automatically in some situations). Even if it did work, Beatrice can to some extent feel what is happening in the mansion (which is why she complained about it being noisy in this episode) and would be able to avoid connecting the library to that door if she didn't want it to. Subaru also tried opening and closing the same door repeatedly in the light novels - until Rem approached him and wondered what the fuck he was doing~
