Painted Postcards Exclusive Look! + Tier Update(?)

In case you don't want to read a whole bunch, here's the short version: I am going to be doing 5 exclusive postcard paintings regularly (maybe once a month?) and sell the originals in my bigcartel shop  and you (patrons!) will always be the first to know when the drop is happening. 

I'm also considering adding another tier again for some bonus rewards!!

The drop for these postcards will be on Wednesday the 8th of November at 10 AM CST. Each one will be $150.

In my previous post I spoke briefly about the possibility of changing things here on patreon slightly--all very exciting things, don't worry!  

A couple years back when I decided to change from my 3-tier system down to a single tier system, it was a good decision. I was overwhelmed with managing three, and I was just getting used to my freelance load. I think my biggest mistake was not limiting how many people could join my largest tier, and doing a custom drawing on my instagram story for every person that joined. Those of you who have been around since then, you might remember. I was really fond of doing patreon and posting more frequently, but it was just too much. 

My patreon guide and guru Dalton and I have talked a lot about how patreon can ebb and flow and change--that it doesn't have to stay the same all the time. So now I'm here again yearning to get more involved now that I'm more used to my workflow in freelance book illustrating.

I had a few ideas stewing, including the possibility for a limited-slot commission tier. I also played with the idea of physical rewards...the idea of sending a limited number of patrons a physical reward seems really special, though I've always been hesitant to do it. I have been told physical rewards can get overwhelming. There's something that tells me I want to explore it though...

The idea of bringing back printables also crossed my mind--perhaps offering all 5 of my painted postcards in printable form to patrons only?--along with a shout-out thanks to all my patrons of a higher tier in my youtube videos. 

There's lots of things a higher tier could possibly entail! I'm having trouble deciding. Maybe you could help me decide? I am going to post a vote/open forum later today/tomorrow and we can all decide together. 

Anyways--I realize this was more about the tier update than the postcards, but I'm also really excited to show you guys those as well. :-) I am in the process of filming a vlog this week where I am working on these paintings and getting back into a routine.
