Hey there! Coming at you with some of my handmade watercolor textures that I am using in the picture book I'm currently working on (Mushroom Rain). Here's crops of some of the textures in action:

I've included a .zip of 7 scans of watercolor textures that I made on cold press paper (so it's super crunchy and yummy--I even put some salt on one of them to encourage blooming). They are all relatively earthy and dull but you can use hue/saturation/levels adjustments to bump up the intensity and color. You can also use them as overlays, which is what I often do with my work, and that's also why I stick with fairly neutral colors!
Have fun, and if you end up using them, please tag me so I can see them in use. I would love to see what you create!
