A Moment of Prehistoric Tenderness

The wind tugs at its membranous wings as it gently lowers its long beak, offering a small lizard to a chirping hatchling nestled in a tangle of twigs and leaves. This remote coastal ledge, unreachable by most predators, serves as a safe haven for this ancient flier to raise its young.
