Appealing to New Contestants

Be completely honest with me, how many of you still play Animal Crossing on a regular basis and how many of you still participate in CJ’s fishing tournaments?

Not many of you still do, right? =w=

Well, CJ noticed exactly the same thing, and he wanted to do something about it. But what could lure people into participating in his events? His roommate and friend, Flick, proposed the idea to spice the prices a little and change them up a little. After all, CJ always gives the same trophies and the same bags, same umbrellas, etc. There wasn’t anything new that people could get interested in.

What to do?

Searching for answers he went to the Resident representative of one of the islands that he usually visits, he offered a quite peculiar idea that just might work. He’s heard that some residents of the island are interested in a particular TV show where contestants get tickled. It could be a good idea to do that as a live spectacle.

Loving the idea, CJ be… asked Flick to participate in said event. Reluctantly the chameleon gave in to the beaver’s pleas. Everything was set for the next Fishing Tournament.

The day arrived and things were ready for the event. CJ presented it with the following Rules:

·         If villagers got to 10 captured fish, CJ would take Flick’s sock off.

·         If villagers got to 20 captured fish, CJ would start tickling Flick’s foot.

·         If villagers got to 50 captured fish, CJ would use tools on both of Flick’s feet.

·         After that, Flick would be tickled until the villagers stop sending fish.

Did it work?

Very much so~.

However, CJ also found out that his roomie was far more ticklish than he expected, so it was needed to tie him up after a while. All in all, it was a good idea since it helped to sell the strength of his fishing rope.

For this one, I wanted to tackle a character I’ve been having in the back of my mind for a very long time, Flick, from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. He was very fun to draw and, hopefully, you’ll also enjoy seeing him getting tickled =w=.
