Blunt-body concept using steel washers

The hole most likely makes no difference. In fact, I can state due to the angles of both the Outer Cone of the body and the inner expanding cone there would be NO FlOW through the hole. Why is the supersonic shock wave that would be created is at such an angle not to allow flow into the hole and simply create a bow wave, as if there were no hole. Therefore, the primary consideration and force acting on the flying body would be the outer shockwave, its location, angle, and symmetry on the foreword edge of the flying body. The vacuum created behind the body is a small fraction of the drag and forces acting on the body by the shock wave. This is very easily mathematically calculated or shown graphically, see shock waves on YouTube.

I see the issue being that the hole disturbs the shock wave which destabilizes the washers., and potentially allowing air flow through the center disrupting the low pressure area behind the washer.

Nice test. I saw that some other users of the Chronos camera had updated the firmware of their camera to get better image quality, have you tried that as well?

Hey Jeff, be careful with the sugar rocket shells. Multiple channels including The King of Random have been forced to remove any video with the fuel from their channels. You might want to post them on the other site or just say home made tracers and not mention what is in it. Just looking out for you and your hard work.
