Lithuanian shotgun slugs - Shocking Defense

The weather has finally cleared up here and things dried up so Danny and I filmed some new footage.

Lithuanian shotgun slugs - Shocking Defense

We reached put to them to offer to help. ;)

I tagged BPI, posted a link to the video on their FB page, etc. I think if enough people show this is something they'd like to see them sell, and SEE what the slugs can do, they might eventually sell them.

Loved the video. Just a quick update. I sent an Email to BPI about possible distribution of the "Shocking Defense Slug" along with a link to your video. I got an Email back from Eric Illies of BPI stating Quote: "Thanks you for your interest in Ballistic Products and your inquiry. There are no plans at this time (at least none that i am aware of) to carry the MakSnipe line of slugs. I apologize for any inconvenience" End quote. So right now there is no way to obtain these slugs. I also went to the MakSnipe website and sent an Email to them. No response from them yet. I'll keep you posted.

Yeah, that is what I thought and I agree 100% with how/when you use the clay... I just find the clay shots so satisfying to watch, especially in slow-mo.

thanks!

Good deal! I would definitely like to see these guys get their slugs for sale in the U.S. They went to SHOT show and I don't think they got any contracts, etc. Hopefully our videos will help get BPI or other retailers interested.

Probably would have sprayed the clay all over the place. The clay isn't cheap so we just use very light slugs- low velocity, etc. on that.

TAOFLEDERMAUS

They actually suggested I used around 45 grains of TiteWad in those - which seemed insane to me. So I did some test loads using around half that and those functioned well.

Great video and very nice slugs Would have been cool to see how these performed vs the clay tho. As for what to try next, if I have to pick one, I will say the "Pumpkin Ball". All of these slugs looks interesting to me, so do whatever you want. Cheers

TheNetsrac

You were getting 25-35% higher velocities than the manufacturer states on the packaging, did you load them much hotter than the recommended ? It didn't seem to have any adverse effects on the ballistics or the slugs themselves.

Ed Mac

As always, very satisfying work. Those slugs look great!

All the slugs look interesting. Take your pick as to what you want to shoot next. I definitely would like to see these in the US, as it's always good to have options.

Yes I would love to see these here in the US.. I'll send a request to Mid South and Ballistic Products ... I've got a dealers account with both so it might push them a little harder to get them in (maybe)..
