Sometimes I feel embarrassed showing my process, because I have more crappy drawings than decent ones, but hey, at least it's honest.

Hey Iby,
Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I think it counts as mileage to draw and redraw an image. Since I use pen so often, I don't really have this luxury, so if I want to redraw I have to start from scratch, so I think it's nice to not to have to do that. One thing I will say though, is having to start from scratch does make me a bit more disciplined. Since I know if I screw up I have to start all over, I'm more likely to consider each mark before I make it. At least, that's the hope. I still sometimes get lazy and make marks without much thought, but when I used pencil and eraser all the time, I think I made a habit of drawing and fixing instead of carefully considering, trying to visualize, and get it down on the first try.
In the end, I think there are advantages to either method and it's really up to you to decide what you prefer, but either one counts toward mileage ( it just depends where you wanna go with that mileage ).
Yeah, I hadn't played Xenogears since I was 12 or 13 so it was a pretty nice experience, until I got to Disc 2... Man I must've blocked that whole disc out of my memory!

It's great that you show all your drawings regardless of the result, the important thing as you said is that you put a lot of thought into them, even though you've been repeating things for a long time, just now I'm trying to apply that in my work so I personally appreciate that you repeat both the importance of working on things such as proportion, anatomy and shape. Btw I have a question I tend to work with a pencil and then ink with a pen, but in the pencil phase I draw and re-draw my sketch until I am satisfied, but at the end I do not make many drawings, although the drawing I did re-draw as 10 times, do you think that counts as mileage?. Oh, and one more thing, Xenogears is great, I have wanted to re-play it to see your studies.
