Prerelease 6.3.0 Re-Loaded Out
Added 2024-07-09 04:51:21 +0000 UTCThe major change this update, is a rework of how backpacks and encumbrance work. See the updated Load Out mod page for a detailed description. The TLDR is that the vanilla 10CW per Strength has been moved to backpacks, and now Over-Encumbrance accumulates fatigue instead of damaging health. Companion carry weight should now also work as intended.
This update is save safe, however when updating an existing game 1) you may lose BotC backpacks (the old loadout patch eslified the plugin with a replacer, I've switched to just a patch plugin leaving the original BotC esp alone for better compatibility), and 2) you will probably need to reset your Carry Weight - the getAV carryWeight command should return 0 while you are not under the effects of any carryweight buffs for Load Out to function properly.

FO4 Companions pretty much all have a default strength of 5, strength doesn't affect their carry weight. Backpacks might, haven't checked, but honestly I'd prefer that they didn't. I'm still tempted to write a script that makes companions drop anything and everything that they're carrying that isn't equipped - the goal of load out is to make player carry weight an interesting choice, and using companions as a dumping ground breaks that. As is, I've given them all a default of 50, and that should generally be enough to carry their own gear without being able to dump shit on them. Companion Inventory Monitor solves the fixed CW numbers- but I'm not sure about the compatbility with FallUI.
