Thanks so much for this! For a bit of context on Hyunjin and Changbin’s 2 kids room clip, they told us in their most recent 2kr that they had actually argued shortly before the shoot and weren’t really on speaking terms, they actually made up while filming. So that was probably why Changbin was serious and almost defensive, he was most likely trying to explain himself and get to the bottom of it. Changbin has also mentioned before that he doesn’t always know how people percieve him, so I guess that was also the opportunity to find out how the members felt. Meanwhile Hyunjin was probably purposely trying to keep the atmosphere a little lighter. As for Felix, I think, as he mentioned, communication was hard for him since he couldn’t speak Korean that well so he had a hard time figuring out what people meant, and on top of that he couldn’t express himself properly which must have added another layer of frustration. I’m glad you’re liking Hyunjin more and more as you “get to know him”. And I appreciated your commentary all throughout this video. Thanks again!

That was such a cool video! Ive actually never seen this compilation, and it was really interesting how comfortable hyunjin seems with acknowledging conflict. I guess for him, its probably just another emotion for him to feel and understand. also glad you got to see angsty predebut han who fought everyone lol. it really seems like he didnt know how to interact with others back then and had to learn. He’s come really far! But it does show a little more context for his song Alien i think

I remember thinking about recommending this video ~2 years ago, but was thinking it'd be too long! I'm so glad you checked this out! Han and Hyunjin are the textbook definitions of the "enemies to lovers" story trope A few thoughts: 1. I think it makes a lot of sense that Han and Hyunjin had a lot of fights with the other members at first. Han is a very sensitive, emotional guy in general, but he also was homeschooled and has said he didn't really know how to talk to other people his age. Mix that with being a teenager with an ego, and you get a perfect storm. Hyunjin on the other hand is someone that does wear his emotions on his sleeve - there's never a question as to where you stand with him or what mood he's in. 2. I find it interesting that Bang Chan and Felix had issues. Bang Chan I guess saw Felix as this young, innocent, Australian kid who didn't speak Korean. Chan's version of protecting/caring for Felix was to be harsh on him during their trainee days. Chan's spoken about it at a concert before and apologized to Felix while crying. It was very wholesome. But also Chan HAD to be harsh on them, because Stray Kids, and the group's future, rested entirely on his shoulders. That's a lot of pressure for a 20-year-old. 3. Lee Know doesn't really get engaged into fights - he just needs some space before getting over it. I feel like he just doesn't see the point in dwelling on those kinds of things 4. They've mentioned before that Felix doesn't really do fights as well. If he argues with another member, he wants to talk it out and resolve it ASAP. Which may be a problem because the other member may need some space to cool off. 5. I loved that when they were talking about the Seungmin/Han wallet incident, Seungmin admitted fault by bothering Han when Han was already stressed and had just woken up, and tried to think about Han's point of view. I don't think I could ever get into a fight with Seungmin. He's smart.

"Pre-debut Han" is a famous phrase because we all know Han was very confrontational and "had a lot of anger inside" as he once said as a trainee. I think it's mainly because he grew up in Malaysia and was homeschooled- and since he couldn't speak english well back then, he couldn't communicate well with people to make friends. And he's said before that he wasn't good at making friends in the first place, and a lot of the reason was due to his anxiety. Then he gets into a competitive company at a young age and has to live in that environment around tons of people his age for the first time while not knowing how to make relationships. He was just a kid trying to figure things out for himself and I'm always so impressed by his growth as a person!
