June Update

Hey everyone! I've been back in the UK for a couple weeks after my Big American Vacation. It was very fun, though I did instantly get sick upon returning home and immediately have to work a bunch of 12-hour shifts - a jarring return to Real Life 😩(skip to the "Mainline Transparency" heading at the bottom of this post if you just wanna skip to what I'm working on moving forward)

The trip was great, though it mostly consisted of me Getting Scared And Pointing At Things

Tbh, it was a much needed break after a series of curveballs and distractions I'd been dealing with behind closed doors. But I'm back home, reasonably refreshed, and ready to double down on this whole JerryTerry thing! In all honesty, the added ambient pressure of having a Patreon has helped to really expose to me some of the pitfalls and bad habits I have that prevent me from making as much progress as I'd like. That very mild gnawing guilt of "Ok I need to be productive to justify that I now have Patrons" is genuinely very helpful - which is not a complaint (quite the opposite!) - and now that I'm Feelin Fresh, I'm looking forward to working on that stuff from a slightly better angle.

On the Patreon side of things, I'm gonna tweak how I behave on here in a way that's better for the both of us. Here's the Jerry Patchnotes:

• Increased transparency on the mainline content I'm currently working on - this will both let you know what's going on when things are quiet, while also giving me a clearer Primary Objective to stop me from my classic "flutter between small bits of headway on several different projects and finish none of them" habit.

• Decreased transparency on Patreon Features - these features benefit from me being able to change them on a whim and work on whatever's easiest at a given time, a flexibility that gets really hampered by me trying to call my shots in advance. I'm also gonna shift my target of "1-2 features a month" (which in hindsight was a wild goal between everything else I have going on, but after Interpretation I was pretty overcome with that Manic Optimism LOL) to a much more sensible "feature every 1-2 months". In return, that should also allow me to work more on the slightly higher-quality features (Pre-Mortems, tutorials etc) with less scrambling to just get something out.

Oh, and speaking of Patreon Features, I finally got that whole Audio Recording issue sorted out. Check it out!

An external, battery-powered recorder. I should now be able to fully record my output, even switching between programs on the fly, with no issues. So of course, I will now immediately start work on-- oh right, patchnote B. But there's some Patreon Feature stuff I've been itching to work on that I will now be able to do, look forward to that!

Mainline Transparency (June '25):

Primary: "Dragging" (as mentioned in this post) - I've done some of the 3d modelling for this project, will continue with that + texturing along with rough storyboarding of the animation.

Secondary: Album work. "Secondary" will probably say "Album work" for the foreseeable future - I'm making gradual headway on tracks and I really wanna get an album out this year if I can! Thinking about how/if I should share early elements of that work, stay tuned I guess.

Tertiary: I still need to be vague on this one bc it's projects that haven't been announced yet and probably won't be for quite a while, but I have some non-music/video Projects to work on that've been on hold for a while (some collaborative). They're a nice change of pace from working on the other stuff, but since it's nothing that'll be visible for a while they can't take priority for now. Might skip on the "Tertiary" section of future Transparency Updates since it'll probably always be the same for quite a while.

OH also, remember how I said "over the next few weeks I'll be uploading my content from other places to YouTube" and now it's been a few months? Yeah, sorry about that. That's back on now.
