Pick tomorrow's feature
Added 2025-04-28 14:00:11 +0000 UTCHey! So, I'm about to leave on a trip to the US for a few weeks. I've been fiddling with an external DAW recording setup between work and trip-preparations and I'm not quite there yet*, so I'm very much going to have to go for a "thing I already have on my computer" approach this month.
Couple of easy ones I can think of. Either:
a) A small handful of semi-recent WIP's (i.e. short unfinished tracks that I intend to finish, of varying quality), like I pick out a few ones that're decent enough and let you check em out.
OR
b) A 2.5-minute preview of the old audio (recorded and scored) from Movement (the thing I previewed last month). I plan to do some rewrites and completely rerecord, so it's not from the finished product. The clip specifically is very silly, a section about a terrifying child(?) who haunted my primary school called "The Shitriddler".
If either of those options interest you, toss in a vote and I'll put the chosen feature up tomorrow evening.
*Experiment #1: Routed my 2i2's output into a separate USB interface. The idea was that FL's ASIO would take over the 2i2, but then Audacity could still take the interface as an input and record. Result: cool idea, but I guess this maybe caused some kind of nasty electrical loop, because the interface's audio was riddled with nasty digital interference. I've attached the audio from this experiment to the bottom of this post. Literally unusable!! Might just have to bite the bullet and get a Zoom recorder or something.
