TXT x Enhypen Documentary + Performance (Livestream Recording: 2 Hours)

Comments

Ah, man, I'm two months late with this, but on the off chance you're still checking comments... Soobin's best friend is Beomgyu. He and Kai are also close, but Soobin and Beomgyu are only three months apart in age, and it shows, even though Soobin is considered older under the Korean age system. Their unit name (as bestowed by themselves/their company) is the Bestiez. So, "does Soobin have a best friend?" is a question with a definite answer, and the answer is Beomgyu.

Can you plz react to more txt?

please react to more txt! there's so much more to their personality and i think you noticed it here. especially their human idol theaters (https://youtu.be/dk0a6pQW-Bs) or some korean interviews. this one is with this awesome host jaejae, her and the boys are really close (https://youtu.be/81_vmDsMZjc) + this one with soobin and beomgyu, it's really showcases their personalities(https://youtu.be/Cdr0x-foM6E) or just this fun behind the scene/interview..shows a different side of hueningkai and it's really interesting (https://youtu.be/iWfMOB1zOmE)

this is a really good point. they haven’t really had a choice other than being at the top of their game because of all of the eyes

I believe it was in this Variety interview that Bang PD mentioned it. Or at least this is the one I can recall 🙂https://www.google.com/amp/s/variety.com/2019/biz/news/bts-big-hit-bang-si-hyuk-talks-music-fans-1203322755/amp/

Max has started his Txt journey of switching biases constantly. Literally almost every Txt fan talks about how we switch biases a lot. Thank you so much for this, please please please react to more of them. Beomgyu and Heesung are now close friends. And Jungwon and Taehyun have such a nice relationship, I can already imagine Taehyun advising Jungwon on a lot.

Honestly TXT were never underdogs like BTS or ATEEZ were/are but I understand how it feels like that for you. I don`t remember what interview but Bang PD once said that normally rookie idols have a chance to learn and grow before becoming popular. But TXT debuted with literally everyone watching them and maybe expecting them to fail. I think they feel like underdogs because it was like them against the world and they felt like they had to prove themselves every performance. Only this year (their 5th year now) I`ve seen them slowly starting to say that they feel like they`ve proven themselves.

One take on the underdog thing, imo it was actually quite the opposite. Thinking about their rookie year, they are one of ≈6 groups to EVER sweep all the major rookie awards, their debut is still the most viewed on youtube in 24 hours (and holds a lot of records), they had their 1st music show win in 8 days, etc. They debuted as one of the most popular 4th gen bg at the time and have stayed in the top 3 since. So there wasn’t a struggle for popularity (though obviously were working incredibly hard, are very talented, and have fought to stay up there). They were actually doing so well that they were getting that backlash of people saying they were only popular because they were BTS’s junior group. There were/are a lot of Armys supporting them which helped, but they wouldn’t have steady popularity just from that. If they sucked, no one would listen😅They have acknowledged BTS’ impact and the pressure of being their junior group, but they’ve moreso been having to prove that their success is because of their own efforts and talents. Luckily, people have started to see them as their own talented individuals🙏 Putting it into perspective from other 4th gen bgs at that time, no one was doing extraordinarily well as the success of 3rd gen in 2018+ definitely overshadowed 4th gen. It’s been kind of a trend of 4th gen boy groups having a hard time breaking through. Even the better performing of them weren’t making a lot of noise. SKZ were maybe the only other 4th gen bg from a big company at the time and they were infamously being called the failures of their company (until like ‘21) because they weren’t doing as well as a big 3 group should have been (not bad but not great). TXT have been one of the only 4th gen boy groups that have had steady and great popularity (not just among their gen) since their debut. More amounts of gg’s have dominated the gen & 3rd gen groups like bts, svt, nct, + have put up a big relevancy fight. Obviously several years into 4th gen there are many very popular 4th gen bgs, but maybe only Enhypen has had the same kind of success/stability since debut. So TXT has been killing it more than you’ve realized🤝 They just have a competitive spirit and a high desire to prove themselves despite their success, not resting on their laurels. But thinking about 4th gen bg underdogs, a group like Ateez (the only group then under a small company) is who I’d think of. So considering they they were one of the only rookie groups to have such high success immediately, I’m not sure they could be considered underdogs in kpop
