NOTE: There are 2 parts to this livestream.

Link to Part 1: https://vimeo.com/786103395/c73d8e7fc3
Link to Part 2: https://vimeo.com/786104615/aea5bb0e3c

Our first link was messed up during this livestream (some people were unable to join), so I ended up starting a second livestream with a new link. See links above.

The first livestream link goes until the 7 minute mark of TRoB Chapter 14 and then we rewind about a minute and pick right back up during Part 2 of our livestream.

Crazy episode!

P.S. I didn't have time to watch "Chapter 14: Bonus Scenes", so we will watch that during our next BTS livestream as well!

Oh i thought i was the only one who have this opinion of rob and Tae‘s portrait ☺️ in it..

Link to Jin's graduation vlive (9 min) https://youtu.be/RC5FxY0a9FY Also totally agree with this assessment of Jungkook's and V's confidence at this point in time. Especially Jungkook's. I feel like only after the pandemic have we really started seeing this confident side of Jungkook more regularly (outside the stage I mean, his confidence when performing was always undeniable)

Thanks for the reaction. The subs kept disappearing in the video as you noticed so here is a link to a google drive that has all the episodes in it and the subs don't cut out. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1KvaV_lQ0606o-Cyc51INtg7g4jKJI5qo

Thank you Max I really enjoyed watching this chapter with you. And as always I enjoy reading everyone’s perspectives in the comments with some great character observations. I think they did a brilliant job in this chapter of showing us more of Jimin’s inner struggles and some of the obstacles he’s overcome to be the artist he is today as well as great insight into the track Lie. I’ll be very honest though in terms of Tae… I would honestly say you would need to watch the source material in full and other content to actually get to know him. I feel Rise of Bangtan does him somewhat of a disservice. I sometimes wonder if it’s because the editors have a specific image in mind of him and use clips to satisfy that narrative. A couple examples: The reactions to Stigma and Lie. The members actually praised Tae a lot too and the focus was on how nervous he had been before but the only clip they used was him saying why he didn’t do a lot of gestures cause he was focused on vocals. Not any of what the members said was included. For anyone having not watched the reaction you would be left under the impression that the members reaction to it was just Tae. My biggest curiosity though is the scene when it came to describe him… they could have used so many other descriptors etc… the members had up to that point in time described him in so many different ways. For example both Yoongi and Namjoon had at that time referred to him as a somewhat genius but the clips they used was to refer to him as a lovable fool. I would also recommend you watch his speech about his grandma in full. Again I feel the editing took away a lot of the heart of that speech. Up till that point we were not aware that Tae’s grandma had passed. We were simply aware that a lot of the time he looked down and somewhat subdued… a lot of comments at the time were about that. He had also received criticism for looking down etc. He addresses that in the speech. What was so difficult for Tae also was not only was he not there for the funeral in sept 2016 cause he found out when they were on tour in the Philippines but he missed the very important 49th day rituals. The 49th day after death is when Koreans believe the soul leaves earth for its destination after wandering. There is a lot of weight and tradition attached to it and ceremonies involved. Especially as the eldest son in the family he would be one of the chief mourners. Which is also why you heard such a big gasp in the audience. It was truly a difficult time for him because of how close he was to his grandma. The hate he received from anti’s after was honestly horrific. He was sent pics of coffins etc with skeletons and told to join her etc. Very heartbreaking for such a gentle soul to be confronted with that. I would also recommend you watch the full Jin graduation v-live. Jin was very upset that he was unable to attend his graduation but again like Bangtan always do he was putting on a brave front. Tae and the members were trying to cheer him up etc. I will finish off with saying that outside of Bangtan and staff they are comfortable with… Tae and JK are not actually as confident as they have appeared to you so far. Tae is especially good at projecting calm and confidence but it’s a front as he explains in his recent interview with Vogue. For example when you watch ‘You quiz on the block’ you will see a scene where Namjoon is actually holding his hand to comfort him. JK is also especially nervous in public settings. I will say though that they do both have good understanding of themselves and are comfortable in their own skins so maybe that’s the confidence you feel. There is anxiety and nerves in both that you will discover the more you come to know them. I would definitely love to watch your reaction to their Directors commentary and Bangtans full reaction to themselves.

Thank you Max! So relieved to know there was a way to get the episodes, bonus and deleted scenes! Like most, I have seen the series, but I enjoy listening to your thoughts, pov and just wonderful to have this connectivity with a group because of this. The episodes get better and better so I am happy there was a way to get it. I too have this feeling Aneesa may re-upload (being hopeful, wishful thinking). Looking forward to the bonus scene and whatever is next! I share the same sentiment on how important it is to have/maintain those close relationships and value them. They are such an inspiration in so many ways 💜

I know I wrote a lot as always but I was writing as I was watching

It’s one of the heartbreaking moments in bts moments when tae talked about his grandmother. Also I respect his courage and sincerity opening up to army about this. It’s not easy to share something like that

There's no doubt that jimin is incredibly strong and motivated beyond belief but I don't think it is incorrect or undermines his growth and achievements to say that he still struggles with being a perfectionist and being hard on himself. I find it inspiring that even with how hard he struggles with himself he still keeps going. The way he speaks to this day is him always wanting to do better/feeling like he hasn't done enough and that probably won't ever change but I can see that he doesn't get as distraught about it as he used to. I hope that with this upcoming collab? it will give him the boost of confidence he needs when it comes time to release his solo album, can't wait!

I feel like a lot of important parts’ subtitles were not shown. Not complaining we are lucky to even get this

Jimin is really mentally strong. I think the big motivation back then was himself. He said many times that his role model is himself. In one of his vlives, he said that he actually been dreaming about being a singer since 2nd grade but his parents at that time thought it was one of those childish dream but he still held into that dream and when he was old he told his parents. They were supportive and he joined all the dance schools that’s how he started. When he was in dance school, he actually talked to one of his teacher about auditioning to become an idol and his teacher actually didn’t agree with the idea bc he thought that’s something easy to dream about but not actually achieve but jimin still went for the audition and got accepted. And when he started to train, every month he is told he will be cut off but he still worked extra hard. That’s how determined and mentally strong he is. I always have huge respect

Jane Thomas

A lot of people had said that jimin was the most hardworking trainee. Jk, suga and there is a bighit ex trainee who talked about each member. Jimin had only 6 months to train. So within that six months he had to learn songs, learn choreography and also learn how to be in sync with other members which is very hard. He was the first to get up and last to finish training each day. When he was a trainee, he didn’t get any vocal lessons. He had to listen to jk and tae getting lessons and practice on his own. But with all that hard work he still debuted as one of the main dancer (along with hobi) and the lead vocalist. I guess this is also the reason why he is such a perfectionist. He knows how much hard work he put to get where he is today. I always get inspired by how determined he was. By the way, if you want to know more about his trainee day, watch You Quiz

Jane Thomas

Atleast that’s how I see it

Jane Thomas

I feel like you only see jimin being hard on himself and not that much about jungkook being hard on himself. The first documentary burn the stage really shows jimin being hard on himself but he later many times talked how he changed himself and started to love himself more and try to let go of his mistakes. Yes he is still a perfectionist and retake his parts again and again until he is satisfied but he no longer blames himself when there is a mistake. You are also not exposed to jungkook being hard on himself that much. That’s actually in the second document break the silence I think. Jungkook had many times where he cried after a performance bc he thought he didn’t perform well. But he also changed his way and let go of his mistakes which is how he is today.
